this was stupid, and mildly offensive (see #6 and the honorable mentions). also, i will never regret not spending time with my parents. then again, with them it goes beyond just being annoying :(

yes sounds great but guess what everyone i know just seems to stay landlocked because we live in the middle of an entire continent and travel is.. well needlessly expensive. Only traveling most of us 20 somethings get is the good ol roadtrip. who cares about whats going on in india we got enough crap here to see. If i was rich however...

They should really do some research on the people they used as examples before they post. The guy for number 8? He`s a retired school teacher and got all of those tattoos done in his 60s, and he`s STILL getting work done. He loves it and it`s something he`s always wanted to do.

well coffee you can tell your grandkids how "I have awesome credit and did everything by the book" but when it comes down to it stretchy earlobe would be a wicked story to tell your grandchildren compared to how you paid your bills on time. the stories I remember from my grandparents were the ones that WEREN`T lame.

I bet my grandchildren are going to love my stories as opposed to your boring stories.

Wow, who wrote this, a 21 year old? These things are the fears that you have when you are 20 and worrying about the future, not the regrets of a 40 year old. Regret nothing and try.

10ody Piercing had 7 now have 5
9. Risque Internet Pics, dont have any.
8. Tattoos love my 5 and not going to stop getting them anytime soon.
7.I wouldn`t date a friends ex, just no.
6. Getting Married Too Young not going to happen full stop.
5. Not Traveling (Enough). Catching up with traveling.
4. Not Finishing School still studying.
3. Smoking I quit
2. Bad Credit fell in this trap but got myself out of it.
1. Not Spending More Time With Your Parents being someone who has lost both, trust me they may annoy you at times but you need to spend as much time as you can with them while you have them you will regret not making the effort.

so there is my rant.

Sweet, I`m in the clear so far.

"Honorable Mentions: not banging a MILF, heavy drug use, not learning a foreign language, beastiality"

IT`S BESTIALITY, GODDAMMIT. THERE IS ONLY ONE "A".

Also: Are they saying you`ll regret it, or regret not doing it?

Not ONE of these applies to me.

"1. Not Spending More Time With Your Parents"
I have a father-daughter thing coming up.

"2. Bad Credit"
I`ll avoid this.

"3. Smoking"
Never.

"4. Not Finishing School"
I`ll finish school.

"5. Not Traveling (Enough)"
I`m studying abroad.

"6. Getting Married Too Young"
As if I`m even going to marry... let alone too young.

"7. Choosing Your Best Friend’s Girlfriend Over Your Best Friend"
Too much drama and pointless.

"8. Tattoos"
Never.

"9. Risque Internet Pics"
Never.

"10. Body Piercing Plugs"
Never. Hell, I don`t even have pierced ears.

FAIL.

I dropped out of college and wish I didn`t. Now i`m going drating nuts looking for even a minimum wage paying job just so I can afford to buy a car in the next 2 years so I can drive myself to a community college since there is no way in hell I can afford to go to a university for another 10 years if i`m lucky.

Seriously don`t drop out of school.

stupid title. Also if you are going get a tattoo, do it on a place that can be covered by a shirt. Forearm tats always get blurred and sun damaged (also for the work reason). I have three tats, and I love em. None are stupid designs, but have something to do with me personally, and that never goes away.

First off, the someone needs to change the title here on IAB - it`s thing you will regret doing, not thing you will regret not doing, although that would make a pretty sweet list too.

While I agree with everything on this list, I still think you need to live it up while you`re still young as much as reasonably possible. To quote the Butthole Surfers, "Well son, the funny thing about regret is, It`s better to regret something you have done, Than to regret something you haven`t done. And by the way, if you see your mom this weekend, Be sure and tell her, SATAN, SATAN, SATAN!!!"

I liked most of this list, but I gotta say I didn`t agree with two of them. Smoking is just retarded, and is in no way necessary to try just for the sake of trying something. And anyone who steals their bro`s ho has broken the first rule of the bro-code! Not to mention that it shows a complete lack of respect on your part, and should be punishable by having your junk twisted off...just an idea!

Gotta agree with most of those,
Reading what drix said, life would be boring and you wouldn`t have anything to tell your grandkids if you didn`t do some of this stuff?
So let`s see you would have stories about
smoking cigs
posting naked pics of yourself,
big flapping earlobes and nostrils because of the piercings
your bad credit
dropping out of school

oh yeah that is really the stories i want to tell my grandkids dummy.

the list makes a lot of sense. just read the explanations with them and some you don`t even need to. (bad credit, dropping out of school, taking up smoking etc)

Speaking as someone who is 40-ish, when I was 15 I made a list of "20 things that are never going to happen to my life" - things like drugs, smoking, sex with someone twice my age, climbing a mountain, best friends with a millionaire, etc. I found that list last year, and found that 16 of them HAD happened - and I enjoyed them. Listen up, all those things like bad credit and stealing your friend`s gf, they seem terrible life-changing catastrophes at the time, but at 40, they are an integral part of WHAT MADE YOU = YOU and you don`t regret a single one. GO FOR IT. ENJOY LIFE. Don`t over-worry about the price; better to live a short, full life, than a looong drawn-out one wrapped in bubble wrap. Your future is not yours, it belongs to a different person called Future You. NOW is for You to live.

"Well don`t be a tease, post a link ^_^"

I didn`t say I knew where. Duude.

Just, I gotta stop doing following through with "pics or GTFO" when I say things like "I got my nipples pierced twice."

Oh, wait!! The shop I got them done at might have a pic still. I know some gaiafags have pictures. XD

My credit is rating is down in the gutters, can`t travel cos i got no money, screwed my ex`s gf, dropped out of college, my parents have shunned me, can`t stop smoking and just about to get my next piercing tomorrow. right thats it! screw civilization! i`m packing up and living in the wild.

Oh by the way, stretched earlobes will shrink down, depending on the size and the person. 16 gauge is standard and as some experience, might eventually even close up. I`ve heard of someone having size 00 gauges (a bit less than 3/8") that returned to their original size of a size 16.

So hopefully if you gauge, you`re a stretchy person and they don`t end up floppy and weird! :D

Well, I have a plug in my ear that`s a little over a centimetre, I have a tattoo and I plan getting two more for my 17th birthday, and the only risque photo I`ve taken was sent to my boyfriend of four years. o_o
I`m screwed for the most part, I guess.
Mind you all of my tattoos will be tasteful. :]

I`ve got 18 piercings(had 30) and 5 tattoos. I smoke, spend a damn well great amount of time with my parents, have awesome credit, and there are pictures of my titties on the internet somewhere.

I`ve got 1/2 inch plugs in my ears, I haven`t traveled nearly enough, I`m not getting married until I`m out of school, and I`m dead set on getting my bachelor`s, if not my master`s.

And the girlfriend I chose over my best friend broke up with me after a couple months. Now I`m with that best friend. We`ve been dating for 4, almost 5 years. We have the same ex. XD

And I`m 20. Watch how all of this will change.

I`m still in my early 20`s, and the only thing that I have on that list is tattoos, and quite a bit of them
Other than that, my credit is pretty good, I travel quite a bit, I`m not married, and I quit smoking when I was still in my teens. I also have a great relationship with my parents, always have.

i got my tunnel for my 13th birthday. sorry yeah.
its 24mm now, and i love it :)
everyone always says "wow, whats that? can i see it without anything in it? is the hole that big through your ear?"
and the most common (by far) is "what will you do when your old?"

Hmmm. Don`t think this is aimed at me.
I`m 29.
Don`t have any piercings or tats and don`t want any.
Have travelled a bit and will continue to do so - aren`t interested in a girlfriend/kids/settling down.
Have never gone out with any friends ex.
Have never took risque pics of myself.
Have never been married.
Not sure what not finishing school means (got a diffrent system in England). Didn`t go to University if that`s what it means
(And didn`t want to - not interested in penpushing. I`m happy earning a meagre living restoring old motorcycles).
Used to smoke till 5 years ago - gave up cos it cost a fortune and i found i couldn`t hammer my MTB on the trails like i used to. Don`t regret smoking - i regard it as something i`ve done.
Never had bad credit - if i can`t afford it i save up or go without.
And i`ve spoke to my folks every day since i could talk. I lodge in their house. It`s mega. Got my own workshop and everything.

Something that I think is missed is keeping in shape. While your young it is so easy to keep you weight in check and keep it going well into your 50s. I kinda did but now that I let myself go I truly do regret not using that super hyper metabolism to its fullest. Darn it.

Let a 34 year old back this up!

10. Body Piercing Plugs (Couldnt say).
9. Risque Internet Pics (I call BS on this. You only live once so live for the moment. Hormones can be fun...sometimes!)
8. Tattoos (Nope. I dislike 1 tattoo I have. I like the rest)
7. Choosing Your Best Friend’s Girlfriend Over Your Best Friend (Never happened so no comment)
6. Getting Married Too Young (Nope again. My kids wouldnt be here otherwise)
5. Not Traveling (Enough). (Couldnt say. I dont regret it now so..each to their own)
4. Not Finishing School (Nope. I did what I needed to do)
3. Smoking (100% agreed and I am still a smoker)
2. Bad Credit (Errr yes and no. I dont regret the nice things I had on credit but I didnt like repaying them and it got tough when money was short)
1. Not Spending More Time With Your Parents (Never an issue. Just let the family members you love know that you love them and thats enough).

Hope that helps some of you!

I disagree with having bad credit. Dave Ramsey said it best when he said that you should forget about your credit score, what`s most important is your net worth and how much you have saved and invested in your IRA, 401(k), and Emergency Fund. That really determines how good of a future you`re going to have.
