Submitted by: fancylad 8 years ago in Funny

Hmmm, when you hear Samuel L Jackson say his famous line on television, it doesn"t have the same punch as the movie edit

*shurg* What? He`s completely right. Censorship is 100% ignorant and childish. It`s 2009 ffs, we have robots on drating MARS. Anyone who still believes that sounds have the ability to come with magical fireballs attached that will jump out and burn you is just an ignorant fool and has no business existing in this modern world.

Anyone who believes in any way shape or form what sounds have the ability to be "bad" or "good" is just flat out, 100%, medieval, book burning, slave owning, witch burning, ignorant.

lol, rant-rant-rant"

So, no words have no meaning behind them at all, whatsoever? They are just sounds, ah, it makes sense now.... words can have crude and vulgar conitations, things you don`t want children to pick up, sure, exposing your kids to that sort of content knowingly is fine, but you should have the choice.

It doesn`t matter what they dub over, people know what`s being said. And bleeping just makes it dirtier.

the best tv edits i have ever seen? its a tie between bruce willis saying "yippee-ki-ya Mista Falcon` in die hard 2, and floyd telling harry in Dumb and Dumber where he needs to sign. "Right on my SANDWICH after you kiss it!!".
As a bonus, on the shaun of the dead dvd, they have a clip of the movie dubbed. Its the scene where ed and shaun`s roomate is giving them crap for making too much noise, and under his breath, ed calls him a Prink.

I never understood why they dub tv edits over. I understand needing to censor it, but can`t you just mute it out, or even beep it?? Much more dignified.

America, you should learn to accept the darker sides of our language, it wasn`t censored in the UK. 1 more thing that proves how much we rock.

At least they`re not dubbing "Mickey-fickey" over "Muthaf*cker" anymore... that was even MORE ridiculous than this.
