I`d say that protecting the head of state is a bit more important than allowing some hick to hunt rabbits with an M4.
(I am joking)
kick arse, at some points i would hate being the guy holding the camera. unless they are using blanks, then it would be sort of exiting.
btw, this is a REPOST by 3
I really posted to say really nice job on the grammar in the description.
my eloquent thoughts exactly
also, HOLY F**K
I just think the American presidents are hated a lot more than most other ones because of the constant warfare, so there`s a greater chance of assassination. I like Obama, but I know that a big group of Americans don`t (mostly those in the south), so that could be the reason now.
You actually get accuracy improvements once you get past a certain rate of fire... it becomes more like aiming a stream than aiming a series of discrete bullets.
That`s a bold statement. The United States is not the only country that has presidential assassinations, though considering how long presidents have been around it doesn`t seem like there have been that many attempts. It just seems a lot worse because since we have so much money we put a larger emphasis on security than anywhere else.
Quite impressive ones, actually. It practically sprays bullets!
cool the first time but the charm has worn off now
as to the post itself, only prob i can really see is the fire rate would cut through the available ammunition supply a bit too quickly unless its only used for short controlled bursts. personally think a standard M240 would probably be a better choice.
A couple of people posted comments that were ill-informed and in one case, completely incorrect.
I simply provided correct information about what was depicted in the video. If you feel the need to tell someone to "settle down", I suggest you start with TalcumX, whose "F*ck Obama" comment had absolutely NOTHING to do with the video.
You`re the kind of guy who finds himself getting punched out in a bar because you attempt to "police" a situation and end up starting sh*t where there was either no problem to begin with, or the problem has already been handled until you arrive and fan the flames.
Seriously cman, go f*ck yourself.
Or like... 20.
However, in this day and age there is a much larger market for this type of weaponry. Not just governments, but private security contractors that provide "Executive Protection" as well. I recently visited a friend in New York who has retired from the military, and now works for one of these "Executive Protection" firms. He showed me an SUV his company had just purchased for use in Northeast Africa that had better armor than is available for the humvee AND one of these Dillon Aero M134 variants mounted in it.
When protecting the President, some "collateral damage" is expected and acceptable, though great pains will be taken to avoid it if possible.
I wish that all of I-A-B`s "weapons experts" would take the time to look things up before they started talking out of their collective asses.
Okay... all the 13-17 FPS kids can start flaming me again.
I was thinking of some high tech poo, not an SUV with a machine gun....
Where`s the pursuit missiles?Or the portable spike tracks?
I want super badassery here!
And the weapon mounted on the SUV in the video is the M134 variant of the Air Force`s GAU-2B/A:
These vehicles are made strictly for use by private militaria in lawless (or near lawless) areas where VIPS and government officials are being transported from airport to hotel, etc. etc. Private security companies such as Xe Worldwide (formerly known as Blackwater USA) often purchase these vehicles for intimidation purposes.
Awesome, but repost.
