drat this poo. It`s not even funny.
Hoo hoo Robin
2. its sometimes difficult to sing live even if you have an earpiece to hear yourself because of so much noise coming in the other ear. its fine when your on stage at a bar or outside or something, but in a large audience setting its freaking nuts.
3. often all you can do is sing from the feeling of vibrations in your throat. so u can imagine how hard it is when your allover the stage and dancing, playing guitar, etc. thats why most musicians sing to a pre recorded "live"tape. it hasnt been fixed up in the studio, so it is your live voice. nothing worse than hearing a song that sounds EXACTLY like on the cd. lol
4. i didnt see the performance, but if i know beyonce, she would have shaken her booty like crazy the whole performance. who can sing well when they have to dance like that?
I would never buy a CD of someone I knew didn`t have the talent to perform live.
but it seeeems real!
Not all of it just look for a group thats made themselves with their talent and not their looks and not everyone uses autotune.
She was? Why was she singing harmony for one of her own songs?
You`re absolutely right. My point is, that while Beyonce is extremely talented, she`s not as "professional" as she probably should be. This goes for most of the people in the music industry these days. Rather than taking raw talent and molding it into something awesome with technique and all that, they throw it into a computer and let it do all that for them. Saves a lot of time and money. The music of today is a joke!
I`m done now too. I see you`re new here, bozo. Post more often, I appreciated your insight on the matter.
"i love all the experts in this thread"
Not positive if I`m included in that, but I probably am. I never claimed to be an expert. Just taking an educated guess from my (very amateur) experiences with making music.
And sorry, but I have a hard time believing that they could hear absolutely nothing but screaming girls, anyway.
I`ve heard Beyonce sing without anything but an interview mic on her (dono the exact term for those, but the tiny ones you wear on your chest) and she sang beautifully. She certainly has talent, and I can`t think of any other reason why she would sound as horrible as she did on here.
"People who have been even slightly musically trained, should at be able to listen to themselves perform (without external equipment), and should really have a firm grasp of relative pitch."
You`re right, but if the mic feed isn`t going out to the speakers -- and only the CD version is being played over them -- there is absolutely no way she could hear herself over them. I know from first hand experience that it`s extremely difficult to perform if you can`t hear what the hell`s coming out of your mouth.
She probably should have just actually lip synced, but actually singing makes it look so much more real. Which, by the way, she probably half-assed anyway since she didn`t think anybody could hear it.
I just don`t understand why she was singing like that. My only guess is that it was because she couldn`t hear the actual audio of her singing (and could only hear the CD version that was playing).
The howling dog was a nice touch lol...
Why would anyone go to a concert, having paid $80-200 for their ticket(s) and just watch someone lip sync the whole time? It`s outrageous! I`d rather just stay home and play the CD.
P.S. If she can`t even tell she`s off key then she blows chunks.
btw, i do not like beyonce, "if i where a boy"? with that body, it would just be a madly cruel thing to do towards the guys :S
But... Oh I can`t believe I`m gonna say this but it`s SO easy to manipulate a voice and I think that that`s what has happened. Because I know alot of people will hate her but she is an incredible singer and she wouldn`t sing those ridiculous notes that don`t match up at all. ESPECIALLY if you`re a good singer, you can feel that it`s not going right...So I`m gonna call "manipulated"...
Clayboy: "She`s singing like that because she doesn`t have an adequate monitoring system to hear what she`s doing - only the track she`s suppose to be singing with.."
I`m incredibly surprised that anyone can think anything like this is an adequate argument. People who have been even slightly musically trained, should at be able to listen to themselves perform (without external equipment), and should really have a firm grasp of relative pitch. A well trained singer really should be able to sing in key without accompaniment, though it may be a relative key, and not the original. Also, note that it is entirely possible to listen to yourself and the accompaniment without any monitoring equipment. People who can sing do it often.
Um, it`s Beyonce, not Bianca. The point is, there are too many "stars" who can`t really sing. They have backups and are covered by music. Some really can, but this is more proof that some are just commercial whores for the record labels.
