Columbine killings? Never heard of it.

"That story about a student being shot in the head after she said she believed in God?"

Wait, I guess I have. Isn`t there a book written about this? Um, I believe it was called "She Said Yes?"

Amazing that all this time everyone was using bullying and columbine hand in hand to show how bullying pushed these kids off the edge. I mean we all knew they were disturbed... Bullying can lead to shootings but Columbine was like infamous for it.

I`m hopeful that God`s work is still being done even in situations like these. I leave it to the almighty to judge.

Im happy they didnt blame Video games and metal again.

Do as Marilyn Manson said, he wouldnt have asked any questions he would have listened. Thats what no one did.

"That`s the exact kind of mentality that led to these psychotic killers. Good job, you`re only contributing to the problem."

Oh I`m sorry. Should I have said:

`aw poor guys. they were just misunderstood and sad. poor babies. maybe those people deserved what they got and these two guys weren`t disgusting psychopaths, they were genius tortured souls who were only expressing their feelings`.

My bad.

The only thing Columbine ever did was enforce stricter laws in my school. So it sucked"

Seriously, you guys shouldn`t be making jokes about this, or calling them `badass`. These guys were sick, not people to appreciate. 13 innocent lives lost.

i`m really not surprised at all this `new info` coming out. people were trying to say all this when it first happened ten years ago. but no one wanted to listen because it was easier for people to believe these kids had been victims all their life, so ppl could blame bullying. if ppl came forward like `no, klebold and harris always acted like bullys` it`d be looked upon as insensitive to the poor bullied kids and the families of the victims.

Yeah, but im sure they called them journals. They shouldve done like a first person video diary of the event, that wouldve been more badass.

On behalf of all of us who live in Littleton Colorado.(I did live in Littleton but they`ve rezoned a few years ago and now I live in Englewood) I want the record to show that Columbine high school is in unincorporated Littleton. And it is in fact about 8 miles from the city border.

This is clearly propaganda to make everybody think that the recession and low-paying jobs are actually *better* for society.

May not be all correct, but does have some interesting information. I believe that all kids in high school should be tested for mental disorders because like in Columbine, people didn`t know the boys had mental disorders.

The media is rarely if ever a reliable source of anything. The fact is psychopaths exist, and sometimes a couple of em get together and do something really drated up. Sometimes it really is nature more than nurture, but as a society it makes us feel better to believe we can prevent this poo from happening. Sometimes you can`t.

People keep trying to give them some box to put into so we can instantly narrow down any other kid that`s going to do that. This isn`t Minority Report, you can`t do that.

STOP! The danger of this story is to minimize bullying-trying to say these two were ONLY bullies who targeted. Frankly, in my opinion, these two were more likely victims who went on to victimize. So, NO, we are not slaves to the media- the long running-theory does not get blown out of the water with this story. It merely shows the effects of schoolyard bullying even more. Sometimes the victims victimize others. The domino effect of our actions on others. The built-up rage is the motive for these two to take it out on others. Outrageous actions for these two young men to take-regardless of motive. But let`s never forget the lesson of the bullied becoming bullies...and in this case, worse.

Bananajojo you don`t think her brother might have had a biased view? I would trust the news more than a family member- since they have less involvement personally

I had a `hit list` at the time this happened. I would have been nine. I kept one until I got suspended for it in 7th grade. I hated the students of my school. It really was just a list of people I didn`t like... or were mean.

interesting to learn more about this. I had heard about this, and learned various snippets of the story, but never heard the whole thing. I was probably around 3 years old when this happened, so cut me some slack.

Wow it`s been 10 years already (well another 6 days). That article was so long so I just skimmed through a few lines.

But having to clarify "the truth" 10 years later just shows how much people are slaves to the media.

If you`re especially interested in the whole Reb&Vodka thing look for Eric Harris` journals on google. He talks about natural selection and there isn`t much in it saying he was picked on etc.

this is bull crap. they said the girl that got shot in the head for believing in God never happened. Her name was Rachel Joy Scott and her BROTHER was at my school YESTERDAY! they had PICTURES of her! this whole article is discredited. i met her brother. this is like saying the holocaust never happened.

"its over and now there are laws in place to make sure it never happens again."

uhmm...no there arent? there is absolutely nothing but my own morality stopping me from shooting up any public `gun-free` place (school/mall/etc). what laws are you talking about? i know of friends that have accidentally brought their shotgun to school because they forgot it was in their truck. gun-free zones are nothing more than good guy gun-free zones, murderous bastards can bring in any gun they wish.

when i read this part
"Their rampage put schools on alert for "enemies lists" made by troubled students, but the enemies on their list had graduated from Columbine a year earlier. Contrary to early reports, Harris and Klebold weren`t on antidepressant medication and didn`t target jocks, blacks or Christians, police now say, citing the killers` journals and witness accounts. That story about a student being shot in the head after she said she believed in God? Never happened, the FBI says now."

I laughed because last year we got taken out of class for two hours for an assembly about the columbine shooting and that was the main subject.. AND IT WAS WRONG!!!

that was kinda boring. who cares what happened? its over and now there are laws in place to make sure it never happens again. interesting side note however, was that the ten year anniversary is this monday, 4-20, which is supposed to be "pot day" and it was also hitler`s birthday. also happens to be my birthday too, actually.

God, I was in the 7th grade when that happened. My school literally banned trench coats for fear that the "trench coat mafia" was going to open fire.

It`s not really a surprise to see how much the media coverage of this drated things up so much.

"The U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Education Department soon began studying school shooters. In 2002, researchers presented their first findings: School shooters, they said, followed no set profile, but most were depressed and felt persecuted."

Damage has already been done though. I doubt that this will inspire hundreds of schools to rip out all their security measures.
