Well, Guantanamo Bay is relaxing, almost like an amusement park. The water rides are great, and the accommodations are amazing!

Is it just me or are these stories lacking in the surprise factor along with entertainment?

Not one of those stories is amazing in the least.
As for the Miss Universe calling Guantanamo Bay "relaxing", I`m assuming she is referring to the actual bay, not the prison. So people like whoever wrote that story are trying to stir up controversy from nowhere, and people like Boredx12 are dumb enough to fall for it, which is infinitely sadder than the statement Miss Universe gave.

Guantanamo Bay. Pretty beautiful if you ask me.

Nothing "off the wall" about any of these stories. Is there nothing more interesting than this going on in the UK?

I think it should be against the law for a woman to drink or smoke when they`re pregnant anyway. Sure it`s taking away a small right but it`s for the greater good.

I want to slap Miss Universe so hard her stupid empty head falls off.

+ why was a pregnant woman drinking in the first place? The kid could probably sue her for damages when it grows up

How does UK equal Oregon?
And I can understand the one with the pregnant woman. I mean, I know women smoke and drink during pregnancy for some unknowm reason, but why wouldn`t they refuse her if smoking and drinking during pregnancy can cause birth defects?

Anyone selling alcohol to a pregnant woman should be ashamed of themselves!

Don`t get whats so bad about the pub thing, if I was a pub owner and a pregnant woman wanted multiple drinks I`d probably say no too.

Glamour model Jordan will run the London Marathon. She hopes to raise £250,000 for charities NSPCC and Vision.

Running? She`d knock herself out wouldn`t she?

Some schools are also putting on Krypton Factor-style problem solving for pupils more interested in maths than sports, according to a report by Ofsted.

Well that completely rips the piss out of physical education.

Baalthazaq, thanks for clearing that up. I was gonna leave a comment about how eventhough I knew all the words in that story, it made no sense to me.

I don`t think people outside the UK quite understand what it means for Alan Shearer to be running Newcastle United.... He is the hero of all heroes for that club.

It`d be like Michael Jordan coming in to manage the Chicago Bulls the week before they were going to be dissolved or something... but bigger.

BTW I am a certified Geordie, born in South Shields, and a loyal member of toon army. Why aye! :)
