@simbha

1. I assume he can only make the artificial items, as you could see he couldn`t change cloths either. The person in the hologram is there fro probably taken up in the program with what he is wearing.

2. Why he is hiding. There is no telling what the subconscious would do when you put a other person in it. To here its a dream like thing. Imagine if you where dreaming and couldn`t wake up and suddenly for ex i was in your dream. It would freak you out as if its your dream and aren`t thinking of me, wth am i doing there. This could upset here or startle here and so damage here nerves.

Awesome, and so obviously inspired by Second Life, right down to the cube building blocks and square texture choices.

that was awesome. If only it were that easy and fast to build stuff in 3D.

the end = dude, you forgot to save your work.

Painter13: "Why was he hiding like a criminal..is he the reason she is in the hospital? Odd he wouldn`t take time to talk to her subconscious....hmmmmm."

Agree with this too. Well... maybe not the `criminal` part, but there`s no explanation for this apparent deviation from expectation.

Agree with most people - very well done. Only critique that I have is the inclusion of the hospital gown during the holographic scene. Two reasons I wouldn`t have included it:

(i) I feel it detracts from the scene itself and (impossible to tell if the creator was going for this but seems to be consistent with the intent) ruins the "surprise."

(ii) It`s unclear from where the gown would have come. It doesn`t appear that the `husband` would have created the gown, and there`s nothing to indicate that he did. So, presumably she created it in her mind - but from where would she have seen it? Not all people who are in comas enter the hospital in that state, but I would wager that most do.

For these reasons, I would have allowed her to wear "normal" clothes.

Wow, that was amazing. I expected her to be part of his creation, not..what happened..

This makes me feel bad..

Pilanus: When that day comes, and we can make the most beautiful sights in the world in only a few hours, what will we be impressed by? When we DO see amazing sights, we`ll just think of them as a few hours work. Although it would be pretty awesome to play an MMO game, with that realism and the whole `virtual reality` thing.

I suppose everything has its pros and cons.

The message of this was so overpoweringly beautiful, it is truly beyond language.

As for the technological aspect, building worlds like that are what I can only dream of being able to do, in that method. That stunning level of detail with such ease, I hope to see it someday, I imagine that something as complex and advanced as that is a good 50 years off if not closer to 70, but What a day it will be when one can create a virtual world to that full of an extent.

Typical woman, it wasn`t good enough for her so she just walked away..Would have been more touching if she died.

Very well done however. I have always wished that 3D modeling was like that.

Many of these well-made short films (Validation comes to mind; search YouTube if you haven`t seen it yet...) convey a powerful message that overshadows most full-length films.

I didn`t fully understand it either... why is it for a moment? Where does she pop out from and disappear to? Why does all the places made have to be earased when she leaves? Does people in coma really pop in and out of consciousness? Cool short but have some questions.
