I can not stand the taste or the smell of their food, it smells like rotting corpses to me...
The best burgers I have ever had were at Mama Pica`s across town. now those are some damn tasty burgers. An Oralgasm if you will.
just another way McDs messes us over every time.
And they do taste like McDonald`s patties. Texture`s about right too. But I don`t recommend buying them. Unless you`re really hurting for cash and need meat on the cheap."
A well written but unfortunately entirely incorrect post. The whole 100% beef meaning any part of a cow thing crops up all the time. Beef is NOT any part of a cow - here`s one of many explanations of of how beef is defined: http://www.snopes.com/horrors/food/cowey...
They sanitize the whole thing between shifts, and the USDA makes sure everything is clean to their specifications. And I guarantee it`s about as warm in there as your refrigerator. Possibly as warm as 45-50 degrees F.
The metal detectors are there because sometimes parts can fall off a machine and make it into the product. the pizzas I helped make actually went through three. Once before going into the freezer, once after getting wrapped in plastic, and once after it got packed in the cardboard case. Metal shavings in your food is bad for business.
And they do taste like McDonald`s patties. Texture`s about right too. But I don`t recommend buying them. Unless you`re really hurting for cash and need meat on the cheap.
I do not like McDonalds. I don`t think my parents understand that. T.T
Yeah, some people prefer roosterroach patties. To each his own.
Also i hate the word patty. Urgh.
I think its great what they`ve got going here. As the reporter said, it helps the farmers and such.
... but I prefer the taste of my own burgers, not ones that have been cooked, frozen and then cooked again.
Isn`t there a guy who began something of a celebrity because he eats a bigmac three times a day? he still is very skinny man.
after the video: *blech* cough cough, do you know how many germs are on those conveyer belts? in the air? ...*blech!* and the reason why they`re only aloud to film in certain spots is because they`re doing stuff to the patty that they dont want the public to see!!!!!! :-<
Gotta prob wit CAKE muthe$%^&er?!
I was always under the assumption that the "beef patty" was always some sort of a meat-esque spread that was pumped out of a machine.
"At the end of the day, McDonald`s food is no better or worse than the food anywhere else, including what you cook yourself."
Are you nuts?? the only reason you may be under weight is because muscle weighs more than fat and your probably not muscular at all.. id say 75% of people cook way healthier than that Mcd`s $hit..
its a fact, Mcds is CRAP.. just read their nutrition info.. dont get me wrong, obviously people eat there, but the food they eat out is not NEARLY as healthy as the food they eat at home.. unless they are caker slobs
CERTAIN AREAS?! CONSPIRACY!
Stupid unreliable character counter.
Oh please, get off your high horse, I`m sure the poor thing`s tired of carrying your pretension around everywhere.
At the end of the day, McDonald`s food is no better or worse than the food anywhere else, including what you cook yourself. Everyone`s body is different, and I`m sure there`s people out there for whom a steady diet of Big Macs enables their bodies to function at peak efficiency. I eat there at least once a week, and if anything, I`m underweight.
Hating on McDonald`s is simply stupid. If you don`t like their food, don`t eat there. But don`t sit there and try to act like you`re somehow better than people that do enjoy their food. Taste, after all, is a very subjective thing. After all, I`ll take a double cheeseburger over a t-bone steak any day, as I hate the taste of the meat for a t-bone, despite it being many people`s favor
As for being pretentious about McDonald`s... anyone who isn`t obviously doesn`t know what`s good for them, and probably weighs 150kg
Mmmm... filth is yummy, innit?"
...i think im gonna be sick... |-X -runs-
anyone that thought it happened some other way is an idiot.
I`ve worked at just about fast food place there is, except Arby`s. Back 20 years ago the place with the freshest food was actually Taco Bell. But even they have changed to the bag-in-the-box method now.
I would rather have someone slaughter a cow in front of me and cook it.
Bring out your dead cows! And stick `em in a bun.
Metaphor understanding fail. I volunteer, therefore I am the soup kitchen volunteer, therefore the soup kitchen is I-Am-Bored. No one said this was a legitimate news story. Onion news, The Sun, and other NON legitimate news stories are posted here.
Us mods are just trying to give you entertaining things.
Are you really comparing McDonald`s to a soup kitchen? Seriously? Seriously. Come on now, soup kitchens are supposed to provide SUSTENANCE, not because they`re trying to make a quick buck off of obese people. Soup kitchens don`t contribute to obesity!
I don`t actually think the mods are getting paid, I just don`t get why such a blatant advertisement is being put forth as a legitimate news story.
Once a week is actually pretty often compared to most places.
Ever notice how when you fry any sort of food at home in fresh oil, it tastes differently than "restaurant" fried foods?
Mmmm... filth is yummy, innit?
Not the Jungle-style coverage I expected, but still leaves much to the imagination.
2) How can a burger be "too tender"?
Pssshhh. When I last went to McDonalds (about 4 or 5 years ago- on a fast food strike), my burger was on a flat bun, soggy lettuce, mustard all over the place.. It didn`t look anything like those perfect pictures.
In before fat American jokes.
For example, in the McDonalds in the video, there are only two happy kids with smiles on their faces in the whole store. Whatever happened to the huge crowd of busy overweight customers?
"Buying a McDonald`s hamburger is helping a farmer feed his family and pay his bills.""We want to make every hamburger as perfect as we can."
If you really want to see more truth, you would be better off watching Super Size Me, Fast Food Nation, or some animal slaughterhouse footage.
it tastes great.
I assume you`re failing your marketing class right?
"How about you go a little further back in the production chain and show what happens before the beef is removed from the cow."
It is fed....and given water...and grown....
"I thought you guys were above this kind of bullsh*t."I thought you guys were above this *tasty* kind of bullsh*t
God, why do people keep thinking there`s some conspiracy with money laundering, I-A-B submissions, and the moderators. It`s freaking volunteer work. Do you also accuse the soup kitchen volunteers of being paid by Campbell`s soup company!?
All I know is... I`m hungry now.
How about you go a little further back in the production chain and show what happens before the beef is removed from the cow.
Seriously IAB, I thought you guys were above this kind of bullsh*t.
I think big food chains and companies are sometimes hated just because they`re big. People love small businesses and hate big ones, but all big businesses started out as small ones, and all small businesses want to grow.
