the best thing to do is to take advantage of those free subscription mailers that fall out of every magazine you try to read...go to barnes & noble, gather up a handful of those and drop `em into a mailbox...the magazines have to still pay the postage and they get nothing if you don`t fill them out...god, i hate those things.

I am sure several violations of federal law are occurring here. I am cetain such a package would be flagged as suspicious as well. Also, what mail box are you gonna drop this in? Oh, you take it to the postal counter where you can now be identified on CTV. Smart guy there.

CharlieA: This is NOT illegal. Check all the comments. There`s one from an actual postman who didn`t say anything about it being illegal. He just mentioned sending the business reply slips/envelopes back to the company so the price of stamps doesn`t keep going up(??). I`m sure, out of all people, he would`ve said it was illegal.

Actually, the diaper -IS- illegal, according to DMM 601.11.8. Any odor-producing material is illegal to mail in the United States.

From http://pe.usps.gov/text/pub52/pub52c4_018.htm: "Any matter that is a source of an obnoxious odor is nonmailable..."

I suppose that if you sealed the box well enough you might not get caught, but human fecal matter still poses a health threat in addition to the odor, and the recipients would probably report you for it if the container or the envelope had your name on it.

I don`t get the point of this video. The U.S. postal service prohibits the use of Business Reply Mail for any purpose than the permit holder`s intent. Even if a BRM card is afixed to a package, it is treated as waste. In other words they thow it out... In the trash... (U.S. Postal Code S900 (Special Services) So you are putting trash in a box and taking it to the post office instead of the... TRASH! Drop a few of those boxes off at the post office and I bet you get a visit from dudes in trench coats and dark glasses.

I don`t know where to start with this one.

    1. The video is a fake. This jagweed never took the box out of his basement.

    2. Business Replay Mail cannot exeed 5 lbs. (I worked at Mail Boxes Etc. for two summers in school).

    3. Read the comments below that refer to the United States Postal Code (poop, biohazards, misuse of BRM...(pretty easy to google).

The easiest way to cut down on junk mail is to get on a do not mail list, or just get a life and run it in your paper shredder (credit card apps and such) and then put it in your recycle bin.

A simpler method is to just mail back the pre-paid card without filling in your info. They still pay for the postage, but they don`t get anything out of it. Maybe if they had to pay postage on a few million blank cards, they`d stop sending them.

From the Poster of this: "This guy received 1 too many pieces of junk mail so he responded by sending the company some junk mail of his own."

He then was arrested for violating several sections of the United States Postal Service Code (Actually he was not, because this video is a lame attempt at a viral). Please kids, don`t even think of trying this at home (Jail is bad, mk?).

Instead go to Barnes and Noble and take all of the subscription cards from the magazines in the magazine racks and drop them in a mail box. Our postage rates will plummet. Then send this message to eveyone you know or you will die with in six weeks. Then, If you have a car don`t buy gas next Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and gas prices will be below a dollar by the following Monday. We can cripple OPEC! Oh, wait... never mind... Ebaum`s... IAB... I must be confused.

I`m pretty sure that business class prepaid mail is for business purposes and if this were abused enough and they could track who it came from they would have grounds to fine your ass for using postal business class for not conducting business. Those bars codes can be very specific.

When you get it in the mail, th e return envelope has you addy in the barcode... that is why everyone should go to Barnes and Noble or Borders and steal subscription cards. They can`t be traced if you go to CVS and get surgical gloves.

I don`t comment on IAB much unless the nuns bust out the wine. What I noticed about this post is that the poster (flager) seems intent on defending it and its supposed funniness. True humor is based on reality, which makes people realize their own foilbles and short comings. A parody based on a flawed concept on so many levels will fail to be found humorous by all but the most clueless. But Ok, it burned some time. The comments pointing out the retardedness of the video are better than the video itself. That is why I love IAB. <3 u all

@TR-Wolf: What`s stupid is this my friend:
In the U.S. every year, 100 MILLION trees are used to make junk mail, 2 BILLION gallons of water are used to make junk mail, yet only 2% of people that receive it respond to it. I`ve never been a huge environmentalist, but that is just ridiculous.

@simcon... Grammar Nazis who are in remedial education programs should not be Grammar Nazis. "Let`s" is a contraction of "let us." Just in case that further confuses you, simcon, "let us" is different from "lettuce." Good luck in your endeavors.

Sending the used diaper is bio mat and could be considered hazmat. Since the post office is a government agency, he has now committed a felony. Thankfully he added all of the other junk mail that he gets so the PO knows exactly where to find him. Thank goodness criminals are dumb!

According to article 101.8769543222 of the postal regulations manual, mailing hazardous materials is actually encouraged as long as Elmo is included in the parcel. The sender is then rewarded with a special merit badge. How amazing is that??

ha, yes, the elmo is a nice touch... though continuing the "criminals are dumb" theme, the idiot will miss out on ebay sales when Rosie O`Donnell promotes a new elmo doll thus making the old elmo doll that he mailed a collectors item.

Why attempt something obviously suspicious like in this video, when it`s much easier to just shove junk in the original business reply envelope and mail it back that way?

This is 100% legal. You can do whatever you want with the postal system and the federal government can`t do anything about it, because companies who send bulk mail are douchebags. Also a mailman on IAB said you can do this too.

*Waits for an update from IABers who are `so going to do that.`*
