However, I believe I shall call NEGLECT!

The parents are more interested in snapping a photo of their child doing this than. . . I don`t know - letting him wear pjs like that. . . and sitting on the edge of the couch to just fall off as he COLORS the dog?! WTF? Neglect ftw

It`s not animal abuse or neglect; if my kid managed to colour my dog I`d take a picture before stopping him.

    1. It`s very hard to get matching `jamas on a kid under the age of five. Trust me, I know. I have a 3, 4 and a 10 year old.

    2. Dogs are generally pretty patient with kids who just want to have fun.

    3. She isn`t doing anything to stop it, and probably enjoys the attention.

Raccoon, it`s not that hard to get matching PJ`s on kids.

Trust me, I have 3 younger siblings, and my mother has babysat kids since I was 5, and I have helped her out quite a bit. if the kid is old enough you just give him the clothes and tell him to get changed.... it usually goes better than expected.

Child neglect because he isn`t sitting in the middle of the couch? And last time I checked, the fashion police is only a metaphor.

Chill out, chica. You`ve either never been around small children or are no longer let around small children.

Oh pish Opie! You`re obviously not a parent. If you were you`d know that first, capturing your child in pictures displaying the moments of their minor destructions are treasures for tomorrow. Secondly, you`d realize those are water markers and easily washed away with a damp cloth and the dog is in no pain whatsoever. (You have to chose your battles when you`re a parent. This is sooooooooooo not one of them). Lastly, little ones like this fella are only little for so long, then the moment`s gone. A picture speaks a thousand words...and also provides great blackmail material for those years in their future when potential girlfriends/boyfriends start coming around. Heh heh heh ;)

the only thing i can say is that they are washable markers. i use those we i teach my students the parts of the horse. all you need is water and the marker comes right off. (for anyone who`s really worried about the dog) otherwise i think its sweet the dog is letting the kid draw on him.

    @Brimstone- It`s a her.

Anyway, this is perfectly fine as long as the kid doesn`t like blind the dog or something. PETA probably has a problem with this, but that`s because they are retarded.

No one has brought up the idea that it`s pretty unlikely that this kid did ALL of that coloring. Look at the face especially. There`s an eye with eyelashes drawn around her eye and whiskers coming away from her nose, just for instance... An older sibling or parent got to this dog first.

Normally crayola markers are non-toxic or else they probably wouldn`t let kids use them.
How is this cruel? Is the little boy forcing that dog to stay there? No.
Is it going to wash off? Yes.

@undeadoion: Relax. Not saying they should allow it, but those are erasable markers. The dog can get a bath and be mark free.

Would I allow it? No. Would I post a pic of my kid doing it, online for you all to judge? Hell no! But I wouldn`t say this is cruelty, since the dog is obviously enjoying the attention, and it`s better than what Paul is suggesting the kid do to the dog.

if the dog didn`t like it, he`d walk away, as he is a dog, with legs. And crayola markers are not poisonous to anybody, except maybe somebody with a severe marker allergy of some sort.

Animal cruelty. And I`d love to find the person responsible for taking the pic because they should have been finding the kid a pen and paper instead of snapping this shot. It makes me so angry that there are people out there who just allow these things to happen. C`mon people, use times like this to teach your kids a lesson about kindness not ignorance.

i dont think i would call that animal cruelty since its not hurting the dog at all...and will completely wash off...yes, mom and dad shouldnt let thier kid draw on spuds mckenzie there, but on the otherhand....the kid drew on the dogs face without getting mauled, good dog spudzie

The only thing cruel about it is if the pen affects the dogs skin. Dog looks pretty chilled out and unbothered to me!!
