i dont say fake but the trajectory did look a bit off.

And the reason there are yard markers is because in the US (Soccer) and American football have the same season and in most colleges and high schools American Football takes priority over (soccer)

"What happened to the areas?"

the areas? you shouldn`t talk about Americans not knowing soccer if
1)You are American
2)You don`t even know that its called the six yard and eighteen yard lines (at least in America that`s what they`re called).

You have yards on the field?
What happened to the areas? how the hell are you supposed to kick a penalty?
This is why you americans shouldnt play football

And Center706, haha...you`re overweight, have a severe lack of friends, and a below-average sized penis.

Oh sorry, were those thoughts I should have kept to myself? *hint, hint*

Can anyone confirm this isn`t a TV ad or something?
Looks a bit weird to me...like something`s not right...

"Nice goal, and it wasnt really the keepers fault, hard shot to save, espically when u dont really expect it to happen. And it is a 10 foot high goal...also it is 80 yards"

goals are 8 foot high. that wasnt even hit with that much pace. the keeper`s positioning and timing were just not very good.

@ arsenic6969 - there was summin strnage bout the flight path of that ball..

im pretty sure there was another touch after the freekick was takin that was out of camera shot..
but nonetheless it was still good time to score.

Just a speculative shot allowed in by some of the worst goal keeping you`ll ever see.

"WTF was going on at the start? The guy gets booked, and then is immediately subbed off? Looked like he was being sinbinned or something."

I think these are high schoolers, where they always have unlimited substitutions. In some states, when a high school player gets a yellow card, the rules require that he or she be subbed out immediately and then can re-enter at the next opportunity after cooling off. It prevents fights when idiotic kids lose their heads.

It would be 80 if you counted that he started running on the 30. but it doesn`t count.

"except it was only 70"

My calculations add up to the same.
starting on the 40, all the way to the end zone 60. Plus 10 for the end zone, 70.

Freddy, both sports share the same field most of the time.

Why are they playing it on an American Football field? Or am I missing something because I`ve never seen yard markers on a (soccer) football field before.

these long-distance goals happen more often than you think, I think. I`m guessing it`s more like 1 in 500... Not the point, but speaking of not the point, I don`t think he needed that much of a running start either... Anyway, good goal.

That keeper wants sacking.

it`s clearly 80ish yards...

40-yard line to 50-yard line = 10 yads
50-yard line to endzone = 50 yards
endzone = between 10 and 20 yards depending of rules/league

And yeah, keeper should have at least put it over the bar even if he couldn`t catch it.

Technically the game is called "Football" and only a few poor sad nations who are too scared to play sport without padding call it "soccer", so I changed it from "Soccer (Football)" to "Football (Soccer)" just to be pedantic. English beer still sucks, though.

If the Keeper couldn`t jump up high enough to catch that ball he shouldn`t be playing.

its only 70 yards unless this is in canada (which i doubt). endzones are 10 yards in america but 20 yards in canada.

yep, the goalie is absolutely rubbish. He had more time that he would ever need to see the ball and adjust for it.

also, does that guy really need that much of a run-up?

Wait, 80 yards?

Assuming that football (american) field is accurate, then the yard marks should go 40-50 (10), 50-40 (20), 40-30 (30), 30-20 (40), 20-10 (50), 10-GL (60), then 10 yards for endzone. (70).

Why did the goalie let it go in, I wonder? It`s not like he didn`t have enough time to see it coming
