Yeah! its because of these weapons that we can do that to Iraqi civilians instead! >_>
No the weapon that does that is government, not a big fat-ass artillery gun.
It`s those weapons that allow you to spout off your stupid mouth like that and not get dragged out of you house and shot.
r u saying that u oppose our armies?"
Smoke angel picture was awesome though, and I`m a pacifist.
Anyway, Effing nice high-speed shots. I love the emissions from that large planes flares. Totally sweet effect.
r u saying that u oppose our armies?
i cant wait to join the airforce.
Actually, the two service men on the fifth image are British...8-)
I would also suggest you read a book on what Japan did to China.
"captains logg. im drunk, lets see what this baby can do"

100% agree. As the largest military presence, we`re also the largest target. One could argue that since we`re also one of the world`s most advanced and economically prosperous (not so much as of late, but still, quite prosperous comparatively) countries, we need the huge military force to keep us protected.
But I don`t think so. I think our "world police" position makes us inherently more prone to getting f*cked by other nations/terrorist groups. Bullpoo you say? Best example there is: 9/11. What was the motive? Think about that

In late 2005, I created an entry on wikipedia about Petrogale godmani which was completely BS, and not only BS, but wildly unbelievable in places. Initial entry here.
If you look at it`s History page, you see a long list of revisions by eminent, learned and sensible people - tentative at first, but soon snowballing. The final version of the page is complet
I think you`re a good guy, don`t get me wrong. But stop assuming I or anyone else is an idiot.
I`ll do the same, Mate.
But now that I see how beautiful it looks, I`m all for it.
Those airplanes look like angels! And those fireballs out those gun barrels...stunning!
Yes, you`re right. I stand corrected. My apologies to Lion.
I still stand by what I say however about the ignorance, the flippancy and the assumed ill-informed references towards U.S. military initutives as per attacks vs. counter-attacks in it`s history.
All of us have opinions, but that doesn`t lend any of us the right to spread half-truths or complete falsehoods. There`s a responsibility to truth. We`d all be better off if we did our homework before spouting off. Myself included. I admit it when I`m wrong. Thanks for your post Djer. :)
10,000 in an effort to save millions, is a no brainer.
Hiroshima did take innocent lives but guess what? The very reason WWII came about was due to Germany`s taking innocent lives to begin with. Dropping the bomb on Hiroshima was the lesser of two evils as well as putting an absolute end to the war. See, it was a matter of math. To put it simply: If you had your choice of sacrificing 1 innocent life for every 15 innocent lives your enemy was taking by dropping the bomb or allowing your enemy to continue their rate of genocide on innocent lives and prolonging the war?
The bomb on Hiroshima killed innocents but not NEARLY as many innocents- "little families and kids" as the enemy, Germany, in their genocide against any person who didn`t fit their perfect race.Given the choice of killing 10,000 in an effort to
Fine with me, just don,t piss on my flight deck. Marine pilots use it too.
And if it were me then I would willingly die with piss in my pants Sir, good day.
"Hey Araaj, incoming mis- Oh, look at the smoke formations? So pretty! -AGGHH!!"
I hate uneducated nimrods who say the citation is wrong even though every entry there is verifiable elsewhere, who have such a poor knowledge of world events and international customs that they think something is spelled wrong when it isn`t, and who change tense from future speculative to present in mid-sentence. By the way, I have an IQ of 148, a B.Ed., B.Sci. and B.Psych.(Hons). Very uneducated.
kinda the point though. think about all the firing killing someone who is endangering other innocent peoples livs. that makes me feel better, damn hajis.
But nooo. I have to be a doctor...
Really neat pictures though.
Because you call nappies diapers :D
That is truly sad.
I think that is by far the smartest thing I have heard anyone say on this forum. Except you forgot to capitalize Marine... all is forgiven though. :)
Having a good offense would imply attacking every country that /might/ be a threat before they can possibly do any harm to us. If you don`t understand why this is a bad thing, then I hope that you aren`t placed into a diplomatic position.
Hell, even the 1 dollar bill has what should be the best defense printed on the back, where the eagle is holding arrows in one claw and an olive branch in the other. That is, you show that you can be ready for war at a moment`s notice, but to display your preparedness only with a show of peace.
Sorry if this turns into a flame war in advance.
@Gozirra, Butcher and PacoIf I had to make an estimated guess, that`s not an AT-AT but a rangefinding scope of some sort and in stead of a tripod they used one with 4 legs.
But the best defence is a good offence.
LOL "Defense" implies you are defending your own soil, not attacking more than 250 foreign countries. It`s not a "defence" budget.
Love the last one, carrier speedboat, can imagine the helmsman thinking "let`s see what this puppy can do and make everybody on board puke at the same time" :-D
all is forgiven, i love the gov :D
Some cool pics for sure.
That photo is somewhat famous. It comes from the Marine C-130 Squadron VMGR-234 out of Ft. Worth Texas. (Any C-130 can make this effect and there are plenty of photos of other sqaudrons doing the same) I spent three years with them and saw around 30 different countries. They are chaffe and flares and of course the draft from the wind and wings is what causes the angel effect. Also, of course, aside from looking cool they are used as counter-measures from anti-aircraft (ground to air or air to air) missiles.
