"Sorry, If you put it on the Internet and think you can maintain your "ownership" of anything, you are seriously naive."

If you put anything you own (for this example a picture) on the internet, you still own it and all copyrights to it. Anyone using that picture without your consent (explicit or otherwise) is guilty of theft. Whether or not you can convict them is moot.
It`s like me parking my really nice car in the ghetto. I can`t expect it to be there when I get back. But, it`s still mine.

I don`t care if facebook said that they retain the rights to anything you put on the site. If you are an graphic or music artist, what you put on the site is still your intellectual property. There is no way that facebook can take claim over something like that without you EXPLICITLY signing those rights over, which you definitely don`t do by signing that terms of service contract.

@ Lionhart2:

Yeah sure there are google results for Loxen. I don`t pluck made up names outta the air ya know. :) Loxen is a drug. It also goes by the name: nicardipine Hydrochloride. Long story behind the use of the name, and deals with my bro dying. *shrug*
So you`ll def find results on google for Loxen.
IAB is the only place I`ve used the name. So if you see loxen and IAB, then its me. Otherwise you`re looking at someone else. So nyaaaa! ^_-

It is likely they got caught, backed down, and now are trying to cover it up. However, the agreement was pretty poorly written. A couple other websites have been down this same road. I believe they were Myspace and Flikr. Maybe YouTube as well. The way those were written, however, they company owned the rights to reproduce as long as the account was open. It seems like it was something having to do with an advertisement about virginity and a 14 year old or something like that?

I`m probably one of the very few people without a website, without a facebook, without a myspace, without youtube vids...etc. I like to be a netghost with very little lasting footprint on the web. I like my anonminity just fine.
The facebook fiasco doesn`t bother me either way, I`d never put anything I consider "mine" on the net (at least entirely) anyway.
