can the koala be the ingenious evil mastermind behind all the destruction?
he won`t confess with water...
they should add electricity to the equation.

If koalas drink like dogs do then he probably wasnt getting much water with each drink.

must have been very thirsty, because (correct me if im wrong) i thought that koalas dont normally drink water.
i think they get all their water from eucalyptus leaves.
But to be honest i think anyone would have given the koala water. you`d have to be pretty damn mean not to.

Lionhart, if you`re going to go all know it all, don`t go saying that sloths and koalas are in the same taxon. Eutherians and Marsupials is all I`m saying here.

quicknas: You can usually find them in Japanese import grocery stores like Mitsuwa, Famima, or they`re usually sold in Borders Books or anywhere where Manga and Anime are popular. If anything else, try ordering them online.

Nidonemo and Kurei: When humans get severely dehydrated, we get hooked up to IVs with a saline solution. That`s not the normal way we get water but it doesn`t mess us up. The koala needed water, he gave him water.

Im from australia and im telling you now there is no eucalyptus leaves available. Almost 200 people have died in this fire and over 1000 homes have been lost, i think a koala who has burns like he does will need water regardless of where it comes from

He should`ve fed it leaves instead since that`s where they normally get their water from. Regardless, awwwwwwwwww i`m jealous. I would`ve done the same thing

> smanvenesss

> Koala`s are ferral animals.
No they`re not, they`re native animals. Feral means "a domestic animal that takes up a wild existence".
> They normally would attack him
No they wouldn`t, like all sloths they are docile.
> because it was so thirsty it let him give it a drink
Or because it was near dead and couldn`t struggle.
> The fires are going mental over here
By being almost out?

At first I was thinking "wait, they get all their water from the leaves right? Is that going to unbalance the system if he gives the water straight?"

Then I didn`t care anymore and just started wishing I could pick it up and cuddle it.

lollipop12, Im going to give you a little litter. Stop being so sensitive. What? Two jokes on the whole page.

Anyway, that was pretty heartwarming. Im glad they were able to take this animal to the vet to get her patched up.

P.S. mmmm Foster`s...

they are not approachable... they are very grumpy animals.. this one was just so sore and dehydrated he let the firey give him a drink.

"He" is also a "she" and has been named Sam and has a male admirer at the carers where she now is. He puts his arm around her and follows her everywhere. she should be released in around 5 months time :)

as an animal lover, i gotta say this: i dont think this is funny at all. koalas just so happen to be my fave animal, but either way, this koala had to get his paws wrapped and was in a pet hospital or something because of the severe burns. its really really sad and i dont like the jokes about it!
and dont give me any garbage bout this comment; its my opinion. thanks :-)

But after a fire... >.<
