and thats only wut we can see. and our universe will one day collapse. ther r theories that ther are a near infinate amount of universes and that each one is like a bubble. u can travel from bubble to bubble but u need a little bubble to get ther. weird huh?

Don`t forget that that marble containing the universe at the end is also the smallest subatomic particle in existence, which in turn forms larger subatomic particles, which in turn form atoms, which form molecules, which form the people, animals, plants, and objects that comprise Earth.

We are infinitely small and infinitely large.

    To put this in context.

If the universe that we can see was the size of earth, the milky way would be: A house.

If the milky way was the size of the earth, our solar system would be: A Gamecube.

If our Solar System were the size of the earth, earth would be: A Sofa.

Roughly. And that`s just the bits we can see.
Bear in mind here, when dealing with scales that range from E+10 Light years to E-17, some rounding is necessary, so my margin of error is large.

how can someone see something like this and STILL insist that there is no way for there to be life on another planet?

whats even more, how can people say there is a God, there has to be trillions or quadrillions of life forms, maybe even pentrillions or more? that means that ONE person controls and houses those people after death...no wonder atheism/agnosticism is raging currently, science is making religion mythology much like it did with all the previous religions (now known as mythologies ).

Also, the scientists who are trying to recreate the Big Bang estimate they can make 1,000,000 of them per second, which is 999,999 more than "God" made.

This just proves that science is awesome. Suck on that, God.

    Ikeray and friends:
"How can people say there is a God when there are pentrillions of life forms? This is why there is no God."

Have you ever seen the "Checkmate Atheists" video? You`re that guy. Without the sarcasm. Seriously. The argument is as valid as "Banana, therefore Jesus".

    1) God is not a person.
    2) Space is almost entirely that, empty space. For every star there are trillions of miles of nothing. To suggest God doesn`t have enough space to hold the few tiny dots of life in the universe is ridiculous.
    3) AceG: Those same scientists suggest there are an infinite number of universes already: suck on that, Science. :P

You can`t just state some facts, claim they agree with you, then claim some sort of philosophical victory. They have to actually... you know... back up your point.

I mean we deal with it constantly and if it`s a force then hey tell me it`s a force or if it`s a particle tell me it`s a partice but if it`s a particle where does it originate then I think wow this is some good weed.

madest, we do know a lot about gravity

    it is a force

our universe is in a bubble, floating around in a much larger bubble where theres other universes. this giant bubble is called a multiverse. the multi verse is in a space with infinite amounts of other multiverses. this space is called the omniverse

    suck it!

and ball in the empty spaces is dark matter. that is, space which has gravitational "pull" (its not a pull), keeping the galxies in sync
but thats argument is rediculous and whoever said that is mentally retarded. and if a belief, like god, gives me faith and hope and a reason to live why the hell are you trying to take it away?!?!!?!? go shoot yourself, because you deserve it. im sick of people trying to disprove something that you cant prove or disprove, for their own satisfaction. just shut the dratkity drat up and let me live my life with my beliefs. i dont need your take on it crammed down my throat and me being told its truth

    LOL.

Warning: Athiest sentence below, do not read.
I like how a lot of the Christians say the earth is only 10,000 years old

Not to rain on your parade habbazoot, but I`m pretty sure you have no idea what you`re talking about. And wiki-ing something and then halfassedly regurgitating what you read doesn`t count as understanding it either.

Every time the words "universe", "earth", and "science" are typed on the internet, you can bet your arse that a political or religious debate is going to start...

As soon as he said "This is the sun: Mostly hydrogen and helium"

I had to go look up that "the sun is a mass of incandescent gas" song. =D

Poindexter: So what you`re saying essentially is, is that along with infinite space which extends beyond perpetual bigness there`s also infinite smallness?

    Wormser:

    Poindexter: How?

Wormser: Easy. Take an asymptotic line and extend it outward.

    Poindexter: Oh.

Stewart: Right, right, right. So perpetual bigness exists simultaneously with perpetual smallness. What was I thinking?

Ogre: What if uh C-A-T really spelled dog?

Poindexter: Wow. That`s heavy Ogre. Dog
