As if we don"t have enough to worry about with robots taking over the world, now we have to worry about the octopus too?

I`m so torn about these animals. They are so horrifically disgusting yet so amazing. I would like to have one as a pet as long as I didn`t have to touch it.

Octopi are very intelligent.

My friend has one at his school and it regularly escapes the tank, then gets back in before anyone can catch it out. They had to use a hidden camera to figure out why the tables were covered with water every day.

I`ve also read that once an octopi learns to escape its tank at an aquarium, they usually have to release it and get another, because it`ll just keep escaping otherwise.

When I was little I was scared of going into the sea because of octopuses, my mother told me I was being silly.
Who`s got the last laugh now mum, huh?

HAHA PROOF ihave ALWAYS told people that squid and octopi were intelligent! hah! it is so NOT fake!
:) At the Toronto Zoo, we have at least one octopus, and we have to give it new toys all the time, cause he gets bored of them soon, after he figures out how they work, and a bored octopus ALWAYS finds trouble..

"so what if he didn`t close the jar why would he want to there isn`t anymore food inside?"

So he can store it in the cabinet, or else, when he needs that jar again, he will not be able to close it.

You have to reteach the octopus every time though so I don`t think we have to worry they seem pretty stupid.

Its not that the octopus unscrews it, he just suctions onto it and rips it off.

This is awsome. Anyone ever see when there were two tanks. Octopus in one, and fish in another with about 2 meters between the two tanks. The octopus at nigh where getting out, dragging themselved the two meters into the other tank and eating all the fish. Then going back. They are going to take over!

Yea, octopi are some of the most intelligent animals in the world. You just wait, in 20 or so years they`ll be training octopi to play chess, they might actually be doing that now :-/

britt566: That`s adorable. XD

Wow, I wonder if the pinching bothers the Octopus at all, or it doesn`t even register.

Wonder how expensive it would be to keep one of them.
