Maybe if she lays of the lip collagen, she`d be able to afford her kids. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. If you can`t afford the kids you have, then don`t have more!!!!!!!!!!!
It was just me wasnt it.
People don`t like the fact that she`s given birth to 8 kids at the same time, while having 6 more at home? Plus she`s single?
So f`ing what? It`s not as if she was going to abort some of them when she found out how many she was carrying. How would you choose between two of your kids who would live?
Good for her, I say.
Honestly I kind of thought that she may have had those children before in hopes of getting money from the media. -.- And also I just have to say, I think it`s WRONG in this day of age to have so many children like that (unless you adopt), the world is so overpopulated right now...
I love how everyone`s attributing depression and being an only child as `contributing factors` to her wanting so many children.
She`ll soon figure out having 14 kids is not a way to fill a void in your life. That`s what boozing is for, and then we`re gonna have a whole other slew of problems.
It`s good that she loves them, but what happens if they end up homeless because she can`t pay the bills?
We can all pick apart why psychologically she`s doing what she`s doing and what`s wrong with it, but can`t we do that to anyone?
Yeahh let`s see how well THAT holds up if even one of her kids are gay. e_e
Was she being irresponsible ? Yes, But it`s her life and right to do so.
How many people have the $250,000 in the bank to be able to care for one child till they are an adult ? Does this mean that only rich people should be allowed to have children ? And does anyone realize how draconian a regulation limiting having children would be ?
Are they being unreasonable?
(Also, she may have been prepared for all 6 surviving, all we know is she was not prepared for two of them to turn into twins).
With a fair collection of assets they may have been entitled to chapter 11 bankruptcy, especially if they own the business (I.e. they restructure their debt, they don`t sell their assets), instead of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.
Again, I posit to you that it was more likely that you could have twins from a failed condom, than 8 from 6 embryos at her success rate.
Would you have this "irresponsibility" lecture for the couple unprepared for the twins?
The problem is that she currently has NO idea how to get through the next year until she gets her degree. She`s planning on mooching off people`s sympathy. That`s where her story is different than my great-grandparents`. They had a small clue on how they were going to support their kids.
I don`t care if the trends predicted only 1 embryo would survive. You gotta be prepared for all 6 surviving. That`s just plain and simple common sense.
Pro-life or Pro-choice, this woman has a problem from both sides. If she believes the typical Pro-Life argument (which is fine), that life begins at conception. She is effectively setting up 4/5ths of her children to die.
If she doesn`t, then why not remove several after the fertility treatment shows 8 results?
Either case shows her to be irresponsible except in the circumstance where she has a specific cut-off point(Quasi-independant heartbeat?) that falls after they can tell if it has worked.
This is not counting failures. That`s why she implanted 6 to get 7. The idea that she should have been expecting to get 8 is silly, but she still shouldn`t have been taking that risk.
It seemed like each embryo only had a 1/5 chance of working, making the odds of 8 less than 1 in 3000. (You are more likely to have twins after a condom fails. Almost 10 times more likely in fact, is it still completely your fault for being unprepared?)
I know all you kids are doing the "Omg moar than 2!!!!!!!!", but when your grandmas were alive 5 was normal. Colbert was one of seven. Out of all my great grandparents (Italian, English, Iranian, Arab, they had 14, 9, 15, and 10, my grandma also had 9, no financial support other than my grandpa who owned a store. Her 9 kids now include 2 CEOs, 2 Upper Management, 1 Banker, 1 Computer Programmer, 1 Aircraft engineer, and 1 politician).
She seems like she`s going to actually care for the kids. She`s not on welfare. The father is not "out of the picture". She`s not bankrupt. The 8 kids wasn`t a sure thing.
And now no doubt many are back here after being wrong about pretty much every detail, to rationalize why you were right anyway. At least reevaluate for a drating second.
But as long as she doesn`t end up a Welfare Queen, I guess I don`t care. Poor kids.
