But that. That has made me feel physically sick. And that doesn`t happen often.

To all those people saying anything along the words of "Proof of Chinese cruelty"

Do you eat chicken? Yes you do. you eat chicken.
Do you have any idea of the amount of chickens their are in the US alone? Do you have any idea of their living conditions?

Do you have any idea what happens under the sea? Something like that, but with teeth.

The only "problem" here are people who did not have their reality check.

"In this chef competition, the seafood has to still be breathing or the chefs fail."

I don`t think "breathing" is the correct term. I think it`d be a whole lot more accurate with "moving" or "squirming" or something of that nature because I am SO sure those animals aren`t breathing after that! Is it weird of me to feel bad for the poor animals?

"Remember guys, the animal was never in pain if you didn`t see it die."

Exactly. (:

Ryan, I`m not saying you go over and smoother the thing with a pillow. You walk over and poke it with a stick to see if it`s still alive, of course. If it is, you shoot it again.

Yes, if you shoot an animal and it runs, you really have no choice but to let it bleed out because it`s going to obviously be much faster than you. All I`m saying is, people don`t make it a sport to wound animals just for $#!ts and giggles. They`ll go for the kill if they can and if they miss, they`ll normally do their best to put the animal out of its misery the quickest way possible.

Aust4beer, Come on, that`s not very fair. Hunters and such try to kill the animal on the first shot and if they only wound the animal they`re the first ones there at the scene to put the animal out of its misery if it`s still alive when they find it."

Not always the case, there`s two vital spots on most animals you can drop with one shot.. the head and the heart, and no one wants to hit the head because that makes it twenty times harder to put it on your wall, and the heart isn`t a very easy target.

If you shoot an animal, and it runs, you let it bleed out and go find it, especially with bow hunting. If it`s a bigger animal, like a bear or something.. If you shoot it and it goes down, you do not walk over and put it out of its misery, or it will probably take you with it :P

I like how everyone is going "OMG THATS TERRIBLE!"

But.. tonight they will probably eat the product of some type of animal.

Remember guys, the animal was never in pain if you didn`t see it die.

Fishermen gut the fish and normally behead them. People who eat lobster don`t "boil them alive". They`re chopped straight down the middle to "kill them instantly" then boiled to keep it as humane as possible.

People don`t want to see the animal suffer any more than you or I do.

I think most of you people are over reacting. People go hunting all the time in the US, an I`m not one of them. They shoot a deer and then have to track it for miles before it bleeds out. That`s more inhumane than dropping it into a fryer. If you gut a fish after fishing, it is most likely still alive. Lobsters are alive before they go into the boiling water. I have a hard time believing that everyone on here has never done or eaten some of the mentioned foods. And I`m sure there are plenty more that I`m not thinking of.

What are you guys talking about? This is completely humane. Didn`t you see how that chef (who accidentally dropped that knife on the poor fish) was trying to warm the fish up and cauterize it`s wounds by dipping him into the fryer, then he covered it up with that sauce to keep it warm? He was trying to save that poor fishes life! What a nice guy.

I`m with Palfas on this one. If you don`t know don`t just say Japanese. I don`t care if you don`t know the difference between languages but asian languages are as different as English, French, and Dutch. If you don`t know.. stick with "Asian" or you obviously will come off as ignorant or in some circumstances racist.

I`ve got a great idea; let`s call everything that`s Asian Japanese and everything with people flipping Parkour. Let`s not take any time to actually figure out what things are, after all, we`re Americans so what ever we say must be right.

i dont speak either chinise or japanise but i can tell the difference between the language and the writing just because you cant tell the difference dosent mean others cant.example can a person who speaks german tell the difference between english and spanish. just like you can tell the diference between a new yorker and a southerner YOU CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE.

"This isn`t Japanese.
How can people not tell the difference between the writing and the speaking?"
Can you tell the difference between two different languages in Africa that you`ve never heard or barely heard anything of? Or just any language you`re unfamiliar with? No. People aren`t born knowing the different sounds of similar languages that aren`t anything like their first language, not being able to tell the difference between Chinese and Japanese is perfectly acceptable.

Although in defence of the OP, the Japanese do this too.

In any case. I have a slight phobia of dead fish, so my brain is always confused when I see these things. I just think "poor fish" that must really suck for them.

Meh, the snake was dead soon as the head was cut off. All movements after that are nerves and whatnot. Not a sign of it being "alive". You can`t be alive without your head.

The fish? Most likely went in to shock. I`m not too familiar with the pathophsyiology of fish so I might be wrong but the last movements there didn`t look to be more than, again, nerves. It was probably mostly dead.

does fish really taste any different if its alive?
or do these people just get some sort of satisfaction from having the fish look at them and know who bested them?

for those of you who think this is an embarrassment to the human race, remember that we didn`t have monopoly in the farming days. how could the human race have sunk to a practice that was already there? i say the human race has sunk to the point where everybody is spoiled enough to not recognize the meat in front of them. If you can`t kill it, you don`t deserve to eat it. If you think this is wrong, then do a little research into what you`re eating right now. Your chickens? they endure more pain than most animals. their beaks get broken before they grow big enough to become meat. so try permanently breaking your wrist before you get to middle school. some never see the light of day on farms. Your cows? crowded, enslaved, and even forcefed. These animals go through more hell than being eaten alive. If you have problems with eating someone while it`s still living, then how is eating something that`s dead more appetizing?

many wild animals eat their stuff while it is still moving, humans at this point though should be better than that...

Honestly...what is wrong with people?
I know people are going to say "It`s tradition!" or "People eat animals!"

But the thing is at some point in history someone, somewhere decided to eat something whilst it was still alive. It never used to be tradition until some mental tried doing it and somehow it caught on.

Just have the decency to kill something before you eat it....or someone like me who hates videos like this will snap and one day start butchering people and eating them alive just to get back at the world....

I`m betting the people out there that cannot help but personify animals will have problems with this. Not that they will see it has highlighting their problems with the personification they constantly do. No. They will imagine putting people in this situation and think it`s the same thing. Brilliant.

This stuff would be practically sushi, but I loves me some sushi.

reDonk, the difference here is that the animal being turned into food is STILL ALIVE while being prepared. Usually the animal is dead, saving it the physical trauma of being boiled, fried, grilled, sliced, etc.

Have a heart, kill it cleanly before you eat it. >_<;;;
