Wow. How the hell did they do all those effects? Has to be Final Cut or After Effects or Premiere, or something! But wow. Amazing!

The voice actors are a little overdramatic, but otherwise that was phenomenal.

When filming this video:
"I`m running out of film..."

"RELOAD FREEMAN!"
"DON`T FORGET TO RELOAD FREEMAN"
"FREEMAN, AMMO!"
*tosses a new reel of film.

I thought that was more intriguing than 50% of hollywood movies. I love the style! I wish more independent and unique quirky stuff like this was around. There is too much focus on being perfect these days, and I love the rag tag feeling this. Keep makin` em guys!! :D

As I has stated, I has really liked this, but I thought I might comment on the prospect of a Half-Life movie.

The only problem I see with it is that the game is pretty much a movie already. It has a great plot, great characters, and the fans are still waiting for half of the story to be resolved either in Ep. 3 or in HL3.

If a movie ever were made, Gordon could not be the main character. A mute physicist, for how god-like he his, would not be greeted well at the movies. It would have to be a side story like this, and it could get a bit tricky, especially if the wrong director gets his hands on it (ala Ute Boll).

A major mainstream movie of HL would be a tough mountain to climb. I`m plenty happy with the game and the little pet projects like this video here.

Pretty damn good. The gun and blood CG effects are not amazing, but the rest was excellent!

good use of effects like blood splatter and gun effects. Just shows if you`ve got the enthusiasm and time it doesn`t matter about budget.

"Gordon was the guy at the beggining also pretty awesome work there."

I saw no gordon.... where?

"why did they have saurons tower in it though seemed a bit unrealistic"

that wasn`t saurons tower, that was the tower from half life with the generator in it that you have to destroy. It looks like it did in half life....

"What do you mean no time, crew, money and script.
To me it looked like everything was planned out and not just made up on the spot so their is a script. Actors and camera man make the crew. And I`m sure they spent some money on it and I`m sure they did not say proof made so it took time too.
-.-"

The film was made on a $5000 dollars, considering that the quality (acting aside) was pretty brilliant, nothing to scoff at.

At their channel, they said Valve is in contact with the Brothers. Though it won`t be HL-related, they are working on an unannounced feature film.

For an extremely low-budget movie, that was superb, absoultely excellent. You ever felt like becoming rich, just so that you could give money to groups like this?

I think I read somewhere that they did this all under a $500 budget, and that the cast and crew were very limited..

"no money, no time, no crew and no script."

Ummm...of course there was a crew, and at least 72-hours of time put into this. Money/script are up for grabs, but saying that this was all "on-the-spot" is ridiculous.

"Very nice production quality.
Ok acting.
(BTW it was some CGI mixed with live action. Some of it was directly from the game."

and the sound effects was ENTIRELY from the game.

i`m a huge fan whore for half-life, a few years back a movie of half life one was being produced but do to funding or some crap it was canceled and discontinued.

That was very impressive, but I do wanna see G-man show up somewhere.

I know he doesn`t have much care for the Resistance peons, but it`d be nice to see a nod to him.

Really good. My hope is that by part 2, more people will have gotten involved and they`ll have a bigger budget and more crew behind it. Kind of like what happened to Ryan vs. Dorkman... there was a noticeable increase in quality from the first to the second because there was a lore more to work with.
