Whether you believe God made you or your grandfather is a monkey, you have to admire just how complex a machine you are.

oh god. i hated doing this in biochemistry. metabolic pathways are seriously the most boring thing ever (also, i`ve always hated chemistry).

back on topic: god didn`t make this. evolution did. sadistic, sadistic evolution.

If you squint your eyes, it almost looks like there`s a hidden message.

I swear this is what my wife sees when she`s trying to pick out what to wear when we go out to dinner.

"GOD MADE THIS"

What an amazing intellectual conquest. Truly, mindless repetition of points we have all heard hundreds or thousands of times before will certainly do much to convince people.

And it`s not like you`re reinforcing stereotypes about the religious or anything.

This is just the metabolic system.

While one of the most important reaction systems in the cell, this barely scratches the surface of the rest of it.

God, I just want to graduate and never have to look at this stuff again.

*Glances at chart for a brief second*

*Smoke comes out of ears*

*Looks at it for another 5 seconds*

*Hair catches on fire*

*Examines for a minute*

*Head Disentegrates*

Ah well, hopefully I`ll know what all this means in 10 years or so.

I bet this is like 1% of the real flowchart of the complete process of everything in a cell...all i see is reactions and molecules entering and leaving. There should be some driving force that creates these processes as well as how those driving forces are created T_T

The intimidating thing to me is that I know that somewhere out there, enough people actually understand this to make it a viable product. I shall stick with linguistics.

Sorry, but I just can`t believe that God is intelligent enough to have designed that.

Wow. Someone had to REALLY understand that, didn`t they?

----------

If you take biology to an advanced level in college and even into bio-chem (and pay attention!) you`ll actually figure out how to understand most of that on a basic level... I`m getting lost in it myself, but i`ve found parts I understand.

Ooooohhh. Now I understand how my body works.

Magic.

My biology professor gave us this exact same chart to learn. I never did because I assumed he was joking.

lol, I had to know a large chunk of that for my first degree...

Second degree was unrelated...

But now I`m back to it for my third degree... woo Krebs cycle!!!

last time i was hitchhiking with my favorite marks&spencer towel i saw this chart in a science lab on a little, purple planet. next to it was a calendar with an entry on the 21.12.2012, saying:" visit earth, was creation success?" ...hm...

we dont actually know ALL of this. A good amount of it im guessing is theory work, but extremely intricate theory work. (btw im an atheist studying biology at high school). and it all seems to fit into place!

I`m still amazed at our intricacy. lol, just looking at it makes my head surge with pain.

believing in a creator is hard. believing that the immense complexity we see in our bodies happened by chance is even harder.
it makes my brain hurt.
maybe there`s a 3rd option that we haven`t guessed yet?!
