They have to do whatever they have to do to ensure the safety of everyone. If that commercial will save a life, it`s worth putting out.

America should definitely do commercials like that. They try to protect us from seeing stuff like that, but when it happens in real life they say we were well taught about that stuff. Except we weren`t. We are just told "Go the speed limit or I`ll take your keys away." Seeing that definitely makes me want to go the speed limit. I always here "What`s 10mph over going to make a difference?" Well, there it is.

This is pretty old, I`ve seen it like 20 times.
The new one with the dead kid lying around wherever the guy who ran over him goes doesn`t really affect me, if I was the guy I`d probably throw the kid out of a window or kick him or something to try and make him go away, and everyone would probably think I`m a loony since no one else seems to be able to see him.

OMG this is SO OLD!! Besides, it`s not as bad as the new seatbelt one, where they CGI a guy`s organs rupturing and his ribs breaking from a 30mph crash.
But the point it that it rams the point home. It`s basically just a shock tactic.

It`s also better than the one where the guy runs a kid over and everywhere he goes, the kid`s dead body is just lying there.

I personally think that our PSAs are far more effective than american ones. But i`ve only seen the ones that are supposed to be funny.

The one with the dead kid everywhere the man goes is even more disturbing. That one creeped me out about 20 times more than this one. :-/

I think that all commercials should be this grim because it gets the message across a lot better than `please wear your seatbelts, guys`. I live in Canada and we have those graphic WSIB commercials if anyone has seen them..

I`m from England, and the problem is these ads don`t seem to get the message across to a lot of people. They are grim, and rightly so, but I don`t know how many times I`ve seen people steaming past me when I`m in a car (I can drive but I don`t own a car) and under/overtaking at 10-20 mph over the speed limit just so they can reach the next set of lights 5 or 10 seconds before you catch up. Then they go and do it again when the lights change. Speeding in rural areas doesn`t get you there any faster when there is a traffic light system...so selfish when folk do that, but they won`t realise until they hit someone. These ads point out the consequences very well...just wish folk got the message.

Agree with the Gavnor. I restrict driving fast to motorways now. I`ve figured out that flooring it around towns and villages gets you to your destination about 2 secs per 100 metres faster but uses vastly more fuel.

I got done when I was young by two CID police officers in Chatham in Kent for doing 65 in a 30. I was young, and stupid. After a major bollocking and threatening of jail time + £1,000 fine, they let me off, somewhat incredibly. But it served its purpose, I slowed right the hell down.

Not so weird to me but It seemed to me like it is a effective ad. It`s stand out from the rest and it`s a bit creepy so it has a chance to getting into the head of the watcher and haunt them for a little bit so they will slow down and think about the topic.

This one was showing an awful lot a while back. Not seen it much recently.

Hit me at 30, and there`s an 80% chance my dead body will reconstruct itself and come back to life like the creepy lovechild of the T-1000 and a zombie.
