This list is horrible. #4 the vaccinations and #2 anti-bacterial soaps are sending mixed messages. Vaccinations, just like anti-bacterial soap can`t kill 100% of diseases. And soap, like vaccinations, prevents diseases. is full of flawed logic. It`s rediculous

Cracked writers are actually funny, which is what puts the site head and shoulders above nearly all of the web. They do crude humour very well.

Of course, the censorship here ruins the quote.

meh. this is a sucky list. shenanigans on 5 and 3 definitely. especially #3. the only argument about why it shouldnt be done was that it uses human resources, but actually thats a good thing. it creates more jobs. and just cause it takes a while to see the benifits doesn`t mean there aren`t any benefits. every little bit counts.

DoucheDude9, antibacterial soaps and vaccinations work on entirely different principles. Vaccinations don`t kill diseases, they`re basically target dummies for your immune system, and they are, for the most part, effective. That`s why small pox isn`t a thing anymore.

You should definitely recycle plastic and aluminum, but whether or not paper should be recycled is debatable because it degrades quickly and making usable paper from recycled paper takes a lot of energy and requires a lot of chemicals--it`s far better for the environment from the perspective of energy conservation and reducing pollution to just make new paper. I guess some of us will recycle paper and some of won`t, and we can split our odds that way.

Rather than recycling plastics (which is highly inefficient), we should be looking more into making bio-degradable plastics. There are water bottles made from corn-oil that have a shelf life of several years, but when thrown into a landfill, bio-degrade in a few months if I remember correctly.

    Same with fuels like bio-diesel.

Just ship everything by train, because 1 gallon of diesel in a train can move 1 ton of goods over 400 miles, (weight of goods divided by fuel used times miles or something). That`s like driving a Civic over 6000 drating miles on one tank of gas.

It`s true for the most part, but I`d just like to point out that even though recycling isn`t saving the planet, the stuff you`re throwing out is going to a dump somewhere, so you might as well re-use it. A lot of companies even BUY that stuff, so you`re making money out of your trash. Why would you NOT do that, honestly?
And organic food tastes better than intensive-farmed food, hence the large amount of people who eat it.

OldOllie - honey, have you been listening to any form of media outlet lately? Have you payed attention to scientific research done not only by Americans, but by French, English, South American and who knows how many more nations? You`re in serious denial... Unless you`re being sarcastic.

Ollie, the question is not whether global warming exists or not; the question is what caused it?

Scientists were originally stating that WE caused it all. Scientists now say that it is a natural cycle, but we may have accelerated it, meaning it may also cool off just as fast as the heat came.

I miss snow... but an early spring is nice. :p

Yep this is all true except for the Vaccination thing. Though it may not necessarily cause autism they can make you ill. I am the former employee of a State Health Department and alot of the health providers lie to your face about some of the vaccines. The Flu vaccine is a "live" influenza strain mixed with egg whites and yeast. You can get ill from the shot. Next time you go get one ask the nurse if you can get sick from it. They will say no, than ask if you can get written proof from the CDC - they wont have it. And c`mon organic vegetables? Eventhough they do not use chemicals they use horse and cow poo from cows that are eating hay and grass that was most likely chemically treated. also, if the chinese are tainting baby food and pet food with chemicals what makes you think Tofu is so friggin good for you. lol.

Im not really sure where to start tbh.
So Ill just randomly go along... I eat organic food for my own health, becuase I dont want to be eating chemicals which can cause cancer. And if the KPO is focused on one place, where`s it coming from? Its gonna lead to a load of infertile land and then one huge, grow-all field.
AND organic meat is so much better for the animals (

"one tenth of one percent of the land currently used for grazing..." Thats because, due to factory farming, animals dont graze anymore. They eat grain; its not so good for them but it makes them put on weight faster. This is incredibly wasteful; if they stopped wasting grain on animals who wouldnt even eat it if we didnt make them, there wouldnt be any world hunger.
The rest was pretty much OK though XD

also, can I just point out that the way we farm is damaging the world by allowing it to facilitate more life than it should- overpopulation is destroying the earth, by going organic (or back to the way that nature works) we`d lose a few billion people but the earth would be much more functional.
