"Trust me, those medicines will only make you sick. Also, I`m sorry, you seem to be dying for some reason."
That made me laugh.

My Government teacher didn`t believe in recycling. He said that we have plenty of land for land-fills and all the energy and trucks and blah-dee-blah is only cancelling out the good.
He made a point.

Penn and Teller`s Bullsh** did a thing on the recycling it was quite interesting.

Funny and True! There are some countries, starving, they must mass produce food and have diseases they must keep off the foods...Organic is such a joke, great idea but you must do more if you want to do something, plus it is costly...

Pfft, I didn`t even hear of some of those before to help the environment, like antibacterial anything or rejecting vaccines.

@Krayzeegirl

You need a live strain of the bacteria, otherwise.. it wouldn`t work. Same principle with snake venom and an antidote I would assume.

I don`t know anyone who rejects vaccines. That`s a pretty silly thing to do.

Urrrm.
Im not really sure where to start tbh.
So Ill just randomly go along... I eat organic food for my own health, becuase I dont want to be eating chemicals which can cause cancer. And if the KPO is focused on one place, where`s it coming from? Its gonna lead to a load of infertile land and then one huge, grow-all field.
AND organic meat is so much better for the animals (www.meat.org).

"one tenth of one percent of the land currently used for grazing..." Thats because, due to factory farming, animals dont graze anymore. They eat grain; its not so good for them but it makes them put on weight faster. This is incredibly wasteful; if they stopped wasting grain on animals who wouldnt even eat it if we didnt make them, there wouldnt be any world hunger.
The rest was pretty much OK though XD

A dead flu virus wouldnt do much good. So yeah... its a live vaccine Krayzgeeirl.

But wait a moment...its a weakened virus. THATS THE WHOLE FREAKING IDEA BEHIND A VACCINE!

Yes, you can get sick. Is it going to be as bad as if you caught it without the vaccine...no.

Seriously though, parents that refuse vaccinations for their children should be thrown infront of a bus. Oh but wait, you didnt get the moving bus vaccine...oh well.

rejecting a vaccine? why the heck would i do that lol. anyhow, i guess i`ll stop dragging garbage bags full of empty plastic bottles to the recycling bins every week. thanks I-A-B!

I agreed with most of this list. However the recycling section was bollocks. Recycling is blatantly a step forward as it is always good to reuse resources if possible.

Yep this is all true except for the Vaccination thing. Though it may not necessarily cause autism they can make you ill. I am the former employee of a State Health Department and alot of the health providers lie to your face about some of the vaccines. The Flu vaccine is a "live" influenza strain mixed with egg whites and yeast. You can get ill from the shot. Next time you go get one ask the nurse if you can get sick from it. They will say no, than ask if you can get written proof from the CDC - they wont have it. And c`mon organic vegetables? Eventhough they do not use chemicals they use horse and cow poo from cows that are eating hay and grass that was most likely chemically treated. also, if the chinese are tainting baby food and pet food with chemicals what makes you think Tofu is so friggin good for you. lol.

CrakrJak, I`m totally digging your avatar.

Anyways... I totally agree with the anti-bacterial soap. My friends find it nasty to not wash your hands after getting them a little bit dirty. I call it "building up my immune system."

"in any case how bout the heat this year, felt kinda like late oct with the windows down, didn`t it"

I don`t live in Africa, I live in Colorado, it`s cold here. No sign of global warming here.

pay no mind, you have a right to your opinion, as well does these algore lemmings, just don`t let them get to close, they may try to convert or burn you at the stake.

Ollie, the question is not whether global warming exists or not; the question is what caused it?

Scientists were originally stating that WE caused it all. Scientists now say that it is a natural cycle, but we may have accelerated it, meaning it may also cool off just as fast as the heat came.

I miss snow... but an early spring is nice. :p

It`s true for the most part, but I`d just like to point out that even though recycling isn`t saving the planet, the stuff you`re throwing out is going to a dump somewhere, so you might as well re-use it. A lot of companies even BUY that stuff, so you`re making money out of your trash. Why would you NOT do that, honestly?
And organic food tastes better than intensive-farmed food, hence the large amount of people who eat it.

OldOllie - honey, have you been listening to any form of media outlet lately? Have you payed attention to scientific research done not only by Americans, but by French, English, South American and who knows how many more nations? You`re in serious denial... Unless you`re being sarcastic.

> It`s nothing but a giant hoax

Catch up Ollie... even the most die-hard adamant stubborn scientists now acknowledge that global warming is a FACT. The only debate now is whether Man caused it or if its natural cycle.

Just ship everything by train, because 1 gallon of diesel in a train can move 1 ton of goods over 400 miles, (weight of goods divided by fuel used times miles or something). That`s like driving a Civic over 6000 drating miles on one tank of gas.

I would add to the list 6) ANYTHING done to alleviate "global warming." It`s nothing but a giant hoax so Algore and his band of fascist hypocrites can run every aspect of our lives.

Organic food is too expensive for college students living on a budget (especially in the desert, mind you), and "carbon offset" is for douchebags who feel guilty but are too damn lazy to try anything else on the list.

Rather than recycling plastics (which is highly inefficient), we should be looking more into making bio-degradable plastics. There are water bottles made from corn-oil that have a shelf life of several years, but when thrown into a landfill, bio-degrade in a few months if I remember correctly.

Same with fuels like bio-diesel.

I`ll agree with all that, Except for the soap.

Anyone remember the woman with a worm in her brain ? Yeah, Handwashing with good soap would`ve stopped that.

My Mum has got a composter and it has potatoes growing out of the little holes underneath it. She keeps trying to get me to eat `em, stating that they`re as organic as you can get... but they`ve been festering with tea bags and peelings... Eugh, you can keep your organic sh*te taa!!!

You should definitely recycle plastic and aluminum, but whether or not paper should be recycled is debatable because it degrades quickly and making usable paper from recycled paper takes a lot of energy and requires a lot of chemicals--it`s far better for the environment from the perspective of energy conservation and reducing pollution to just make new paper. I guess some of us will recycle paper and some of won`t, and we can split our odds that way.

Good thing about the antibacterial soap, though. Not a lot of people know that.

Ari--, I`m gonna have to disagree with you on the `organic food tastes better` deal, I prefer the taste of my chemical laden fruits and veggies. Also, I have never had vaccines and I`m sick alot less than most people I know so it may not be as `stupid` as you think.

No Anwar, the recycling part wasn`t a stretch. Recycling is actually more wasteful than just throwing away (except for aluminum). I`ve also read about it in Popular Mechanics and Penn & Teller`s Bullsh*t.

1. Organic Food tastes better!
2. Rejecting Vaccinations - why would anyone do something stupid like that?
3. "Recycling requires more trucks, more crews and more people to oversee the entire process." So what?! Some more jobs, isn`t that actually a good thing?
4. Why would anyone with a brain use antibacterial soap or spray?
5. The carbon thing? Hm. Don`t see how I can change anything about that anyway.

(and in rare cases get grafted to their couch.

DoucheDude9, antibacterial soaps and vaccinations work on entirely different principles. Vaccinations don`t kill diseases, they`re basically target dummies for your immune system, and they are, for the most part, effective. That`s why small pox isn`t a thing anymore.

meh. this is a sucky list. shenanigans on 5 and 3 definitely. especially #3. the only argument about why it shouldnt be done was that it uses human resources, but actually thats a good thing. it creates more jobs. and just cause it takes a while to see the benifits doesn`t mean there aren`t any benefits. every little bit counts.

"Basically, you are at greater risk of eating a [crude word for excrement that this site won`t allow] sandwich, which is admittedly organic, but still."

Cracked writers are actually funny, which is what puts the site head and shoulders above nearly all of the web. They do crude humour very well.

Of course, the censorship here ruins the quote.

This list is horrible. #4 the vaccinations and #2 anti-bacterial soaps are sending mixed messages. Vaccinations, just like anti-bacterial soap can`t kill 100% of diseases. And soap, like vaccinations, prevents diseases. Cracked.com is full of flawed logic. It`s rediculous
