number 1 is crazy. what are the odds? =)
Yes but both are members of the family Asteraceae. Thus making artichokes a member of the daisy family and vice versa.
http://cleveland.about.com/od/peopleandp... Johnny apple seed was realOn 293 they said same day not same houron 51, casinos do not have clocks because they do not want there patrons to know how much time they have spent there. some even block cell phone reception inside the casino.
i dont hate you, your just wrong
there is a p in btween the m and t
Artichokes are a member of the daisy family...when they bloom they turn into a rely nice purple flower:
but still a good boredom cure
which is why sliver rhymes with silver.
silver... many words end with er.orange... many words end ge.etc.
Drake and Josh For The Win. thats not a word, thats 2 words
Actually a 2x4 is 1 1/2 by 3 1/2, if you measured this off of a stud that you have in your house you live in an old house because they used to be bigger but they decided to make them smaller to save on wood.
Drake and Josh For The Win.
Also, I knew most of these, gotta love useless knowledge
All in all, it taught me about... two facts. I read a lot of these things, you see.
Anthony Hopkins blinks at least once during Silence of the Lambs. And it`s one of those slow blinks.
...aaaaaand I hate myself for that.
"uuuummmm, the second sentence negates the first."
Two points, firstly a square *is* a rectangle, just a very specific type, and second I`m a really serious nerd for knowing that.
1st this list is older than the net2nd It`s BS heinz never had 57 varieties the number was chosen because it looked good when the logo came out they had way more than 57 different products on the market..... PWND
The thing about the horse`s pose on statues was debunked on Snopes.
uuuummmm, the second sentence negates the first.
87.2% of statistics are made up on the spot :D
So in conclusion (what with all the other mistakes people found): Bullpoo.
No :| Most of these are simply crap
This lists annoy me because there so full of things which just aren`t right
Nah, but they fall good.
Numerous mistakes in this list. ie, there are only about 7000 languages in the world, not 41000.
I wonder if sloths can jump...
Fact #304. 96% of the people who read this list will find spelling and grammatical errors.
#19 is Wrong. I 2x4 is not 1 1/2 x 3 1/2, but1 3/4 x 3 3/4.
but ur right, lots of these ARE bullshizzle, just not the ones u listed
I`m sure there are more, I got tired of reading.
Easy, the one that`s false is that one right there, because at least 20 of the rest are false. Mythbusters totally disproved the sneezing eyeballs one, and all the ones listed below by others as well...
i`m lethalogica a lot.
48) It is correct that the earths magnetic poles do switch places however it happens like once every 10,000 years or something like that
137) $283,200 is the most money you can win in Jeoprady (in one day)
154) All polar bears are left-handed (false actually scientists first thought this because when they saw a polar bear doing something with their left hand they would notice but not with their right because it was "normal")
158) Elephants AND Rhinos so not just Elephants can`t jump
211) Percentage wise Alaskan crab fishing is the most dangerous job
215)Yes the heart IS a muscle
I`m sure there are more but these are the ones that I know
- FALSE - don`t believe everything you read.
IT TALKS ABOUT GIRAFFES!
Neither can rabbits. :)
"Only one of these facts is false" and have people go nuts trying to find it.
Dude, that`s probablly one of the funniest things I`ve read...
"Birds can`t burp."That`s why #281 is true. Or, sorta true anyway. I don`t think the stomach would explode....
elephants arent the only ones that cant jump, polar bears arent left-handed—ambidextrous yeah, uhm... the thing w lefties dying early isnt statistically significant if only 11% of the pop is lefty and they die from accidents because it was made exclusively for righties. oh and the canada thing yeah is wrong. maybe somethin else dont care dont know why im even writing this
try it. don`t believe me? google it.
I thought the continent was called Oceania, but the term Oceania actually refers to a region http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oceania
Obviously Australia is the country, but I didn`t think the name also referred to the continent.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia_(...
as I said, my bad!
154: All polar bears are left handed
they`re not left handed, they`re ambidextrous.
158: elephants are the only mammals that cannot jump
rhinos and hippos cant jump either.
lord of the rings has claimed to sell more than 100 mill but less than others so its not third
I swear that I have read or heard somewhere that polar bears are ambidextrous, but I could be wrong.
As for the % of overweight people in the US, I can`t prove it otherwise but the figure does seem high. Out of the 300 million americans, how many are considered adults? Wikipedia says that about 72.7% of people in the US are 20 years old or over, and I saw on census.gov that overweight rates are around 60ish%... so it is probably not far off after all! *shrugs*
oh well, it was still entertaining :D
Most were perfectly true - there was only 1 or 2 that weren`t. However - still insanely awesome!
302 - ftw!
Now I am off to watch Silence of the Lambs to check for blinking.
"They`re actually kind of useful but probably won`t help you in real life"
Haha, niiiice! :-D
"#74 is retarded. there are only 300 million people in the US"
read it again
"in the US, 127 million adults are overweight or obese; WORLDWIDE, 750 million...."
That`s because it already ate it
"a snail can sleep for 3 years"
"all polar bears are left-handed"
Wasn`t that proven false in a link that was submitted a little while back, I remember just learning that that isn`t true.
What the effer?! D<
