    I have no clue what this video is referring to -- my dogs can eat a whole ham and still be hungry and not be fat. O.o

    My dogs are like bottomless pits, man. They can easily out-eat my whole family.

    For dogs it`s not so much how they eat, it`s how much exercise they get. Which, is just about the same for humans, minus McCrapshack.

    I bet that`s because you look after them well and take them on regular walks.

    I hate this new programme on TV in UK about "My Fat Pet"... there shouldn`t be a programme, these people should be put in prison if they`re killnig their petslike that.
    ARGH. makes me so annoyed.

    My puppy dog does that too, but she is tiny and super cute. So we share a little food with her.
    She always gets my last bite.

    But, I do take her out regularly for walks and random swims in the lake, and mole hunts.

    My family had a chihuahua like that, he`d drag his body everywhere and get stuck if he rolled over.

    Dogs can eat pretty much anything, metabolism takes care of a good chunk of it. But without anything else like exercise, it builds up.

    I cannot stand people who feed their pets from the table or allow them to beg. My dof lays on his blanket at the front door until everyone is done eating. He knows to come nowhere near the kitchen, we can put a plate of food on the floor and he will not touch it until he is told. We do give him scrap meat in his dish after but only after we are finished eating.

    My cat begs for food.=_________=;
    I give her skin from salmon if I have that for dinner, but not really anything else.
    My dad however treats her like a dog. >__<

    My father-in-law actually bought his dog its own steak, cut it up, and fed it to her on a plate at the dinner table. I nearly fell out of my chair, because his son and I were living off Ramen noodles.

    Reminds me of my baby boy.
    He`s a golden retreiver, and my dad used to feed him off his fork after dinner, so he`ll stick his nose right up in your lap -.-;
    It can be rather emberassing to say the least.

    My dogs get no table scraps from us. However, my in-laws give them to their dog, so when we go there for the holidays they`re always feeding our dogs human food. It really irks me because when we come home they beg at the table. It`s a vicious cycle!

    you can`t feed dogs human food, they can`t digest it properly. If you give them food from the table they will eventually come up and eat right off your plate.
    It`s just not worth it.

    Most human foods they can digest. Cooked meat is easier to digest than raw meat (in any animal) for instance. The reason why it`s so bad for animals is the fact that we eat a LOT more artificial and fatty foods than their bodies are used to. We`ve got thousands of years of history on human digestive tracts with the stuff and not only this but a lot of the time people feed their pets food from their plates and then never give the animals the exercise they need to burn the calories. It`s not a fact of "not being able to process the foods" so much as it is "Too many fatty substances".

    Our dog never even got table scraps, but sometimes my dad would give him some hot sauce. he`d flip out.. and then always ask for more. It was weird.
