Well, it`s kinda sad that a lot of those things not even were speeches, just Bush doing lots of crazy poo.

"I`m not gonna tell you."
That was 5 words...

And I really am going to miss Bush

Bush wasn`t a great speaker, but he always did what he said he would.

Obama, on the other hand, talks about a new "age of responsibility" and then proceeds to call obvious welfare a tax cut

I challenge anyone to make a montage like this of Obama. It probably can`t be done.

True story--a guy I work with said, in all seriousness, that he loved Bush as a president because he is SUCH A ELOQUENT SPEAKER. Cue stage right to me snorting root beer out my nose.

Well, glad that guy is out of the office and we shall see how Obama does.

That`s all I`m going to say about that

Aww say what you will. Even though he ran this country to hell, I really liked him. He had charisma.

Everyone was saying yesterday how Obama has proven to a generation that anyone could be president... um, GWB aleady showed us that. Hope he has fun chopping wood and clearing brush in Crawford.

I used to have to same problem as bush, though not as bad, at public speaking. The way I remedied it was by reading my speeches at the speed of light and walking to my seat immediately after finishing.

I had to watch that kid (towards the very end), shifting about and looking at his watch, a few times. That was sooo friggin` funny.

Yeah, and I wouldn`t really make fun of Obama `cause he messed up the oath (which he didn`t, as others have pointed out... was Roberts` mistake... I`m impressed Obama caught it, actually). What would it have meant if he really had flubbed it?

I`m sure both men were nervous and it was a simple procedure which did not really require exactitude. Actually, I suppose that`s not correct either, as I`ve seen a news report indicating that he "retook" the Oath of Office (uppercase or no?) under the supervision of Greg Craig (some attorney from our governing elite).

Anyway, my point is that it was no big deal either way (even though, again, Obama isn`t the one who messed it up).

wierdwaffle and neilthesheep: As others have said, it was the Chief Justice (appointed by Bush) who messed up the oath of office. So the person you should be making fun of is not the president, but rather the chief Justice of the United States, John Roberts, who was appointed by Bush himself. And BTW, wierdwaffle, wierd is spelled W-E-I-R-D

"my favorite part of the video is when George Bush messes up the Oath of Office. Oh...wait...that wasn`t him..."

Ohhh riight that was just the chief justice Bush appointed into office who couldn`t memorize a 35 word oath. Obama stopped because he knew what the guy said was completely incorrect.

"my favorite part of the video is when George Bush messes up the Oath of Office. Oh...wait...that wasn`t him..."

Yeah, you`re right, it wasn`t him. That was the chief justice that good old George W. Bush himself nominated into office...

eezle, he specifically said "I`m not going to tell you. That`s five words." In my book that`s six (or even seven if you count `I`m` as 2 words...)

If you understand the context of a couple of those you`d give him a little slack. Several of those "speeches" were actually part of a question and answer where the press (or whoever was there) could ask him questions. I`d like to video tape some of the people who say Bush was dumb while putting them on the spot with questions like Bush got and see how well they handle the pressure.

I agree with the last person...Obama had a tough time repeating what was said 5 seconds before..granted pressure but still...

when you string all of this together, it`s actually pretty pathetic. but funny, nonetheless. obama will certainly not have these kinds of foibles. thankfully, he is rather quick witted and able to make wisecracks
