it`s pretty cool, too bad it only works over water, though... I wonder what it`s maximum height is.
It would be fun to go around Venice in that thing, though, as long as your boat/weight/water suction part isn`t run over...

to stabilize such a device at that altitude you require more than redneck technology, therefore this is fake.

Looks pretty cool. Two things I instantly wondered though:
What happens when the device tilts too far?
What happens if someone is caught swimming under this thing?
    Other than that... WANT! :D

looks somewhat fake at the beggining, according to the internet its a patented device, but there are only sketches of it, and then a youtube video of a working one? has fake written all over it. its incredible hard to maintain a thing like that stable but he does all kinds of maneuvers with apparent ease? fake fake fake

there is no tech here it is just basic physics for every action there is an equal and opposet reaction when water is released under high pressure it forces the pack up (the same principal of a fire hose)if you really want to fly hook a 4"line up to a fire hydrant and hold on

Hmmmm... I say not fake. There`s no technology there that doesn`t exist, and it looks like something which would function as it does. The water is moving as one would expect, which is mind-bogglingly difficult to do on a computer. The only thing that strikes me as odd is how well the balence works with just two streams, but it`s not impossible. I have no reason to believe it`s fake.

wouldn`t it technically be an electric powered jet pack because it needs the pump to create the pressure to push it upwards

If you call fake, please explain how it was faked and why.

Otherwise, it`s pretty believable. How do you not fall off a bike? balance. How do you know how hard it is to stay stable on a jetpack. Have you ever used one?

    Answer these questions and return

About balance: it seems, that everyone found patent for this thing, but no one even tried to read it.

"The nozzles are located above a center of gravity for the body unit, which provides inherent stability when the personal propulsion device is in use."

Other fake-shouts are not even explained.

i would also like to point out that the device has 3 points of stability not 2. The line that draws water in and 2 for water out. The problem of practicability with the thing is battery power duration.

"wouldn`t it technically be an electric powered jet pack because it needs the pump to create the pressure to push it upwards"

Well then wouldn`t it technically be a solar-powered jet pack, since the sun provides all the energy to the earth in the form of heat and light, and that energy was stored in the fossil fuels that were probably used to generate the electricity that powered the pump to create the pressure to push the jet pack upwards?

bonbushi, as no one of us has ever used this jetpack then we will have to rely on simple logic.

The most modern jetpack had to be stabilized by 2 people and lifted 2 feet off the ground, price tag: $100,000, $10,000 to be one of the first consumers in line. Then we have this breakthrough in technology, a fully balanced working jetpack, yet where do we buy one? where can we send a $50,000 deposit to get one? either these rednecks are really stupid of these are rednecks with a very nice fake video.

I forgot much about my physics classes but I can say that you need a LOT of force to raise an adult 5-7 meters off the ground. You dont use that much force on a bike, force you need to control. On minute 1:05 you can notice he is quite high, water below is quite undisturbed and the water jet has lost much of its force, I invite you to watch a video of a fire hose, you will notice how water at very high pressure looks like at a few meters away, very different from how it looks in this video

The amount of power that water would have to be shooting out at would rip his legs off if he happened to touch the stream.
