First they try and get married, now they are behind the wheel, kids really are growing up fast these days.

According to another video I saw with this same incident, he plays monster-truck games and Grand Theft Auto. What kind of parent lets a six-year-old play Grand Theft Auto? I seriously hope that other one I saw was lying, because that`s just sad...

Well, I can see where this is going; "The whole thing was caused by video games. Let`s ban them! I mean, we can`t let the PARENTS take responsibility for letting their child play the games in the first place, oh no! We have to find another source!" B-|

If you read some articles about this, then you`ll see that CNN left some big details out. He wasn`t wearing a seatbelt, he was standing up because he couldn`t sit and reach the pedals/see over the steering wheel. Also, the main factor of him wanting to get to school is because of the free breakfast--maybe the parents didn`t feed him that in the morning? And to top it off, the father has a court order to never leave the child alone with his mother, and he had because he was at work when it happened. So this wasn`t so much of a "slick kid", this was more a case of these people clearly can`t care for kids responsibly. I won`t be surprised if we hear about this kid being taken into a foster home.

dad`s comment made me smile:

"he`s a very slick kid, he is"

the little guy has balls of steel and is probably pretty smart... i still get lost driving around sometimes, and i`m 26~

"Theres a lady whose still having trouble with what she saw"
Whaaaa..? she didnt get in a crash... she just saw somebody drive crazy..?

But otherwise, that kid rocks. He`s gonna be such a champ when he grows up.

Either he`s really into school, or this was the one day he remembered to do his homework and was like "hell no am I not gettin` credit for this."

Apparently, he learned to drive from playing Grand Theft Auto and Monster Truck Jam. Anyways, I`m impressed. 9.5 miles, and only 0.5 left.

We talked about this at work today.

And the mother is 100% to blame for all this.

there is difference between "regular 6 year old driving 10 miles" and "redneck 6 year old driving 10 miles"

It wasn`t the driving that got him into trouble, it was when he pulled up next to another car, said "That`s my ride now" and dragged the driver out, then ran over and beat up a nearby prostitute that he got into trouble. When they arrested him he was just sitting there saying "R1 R1 O R2 UDUDUD" over and over...

i heard he got taken off his parents :( i reckon thats a bit drastic as it only takes about 5 seconds of inattention for your kid to wander off

still, kudos to the kid for making it that far!

But he would have failed at parallel parking once he got to school.

...passing some slower moving traffic? I`m impressed a 6 year old could make it that far before crashing. And they say video games are good for nothing.
