This is nothing compared to MY school`s media attention: Streakers, marijuana-laced rice krispie treats, and Jon Stewart calling us the gaylords for no reason.

Lame, I`m glad I didn`t go to Rancho Bernardo High School. Carlsbad is way better. But then again, both schools suck.

So what? It`s still paper, I don`t think I`d even notice it... well, maybe I will, since it`s all bolded and italicized -_-

Agree with lukas1051, it`s not really an advert, it`s a company sponsoring the paper ... sad that this is necessary but at least the teacher found a way how to cope with the budget cuts.

Why is this listed under funny?

And it was barely an advert. A tiny bit of text at the bottom of the page, saying it is psonsored by a building society. Not exactly gonna get the kids buying. Idiots.

you are driving a bus that has three people on it. At the first stop two people get on. At the next stop three more people get on and four get off. On the fifth stop you have three extra people on the bus. With two more getting on. On the sixth stop everyone gets off. What was the bus drivers name?

There are three coca cola cans, all equally filled. Their weight all together adds up to 1800ml. If you added another can, then drank the other three cans, how refreshed would you be?

"I was expecting like a bigass banner right above question 1, much like a website. I suppose the way they did it is much better. But I would have thought the army/marines would have been all over that, I can see "be all you can be" at the bottom of the pages."

The exam cover sheet could double as an enlistment form.

And one of the questions would be "Are you looking for love? Go to ___****www.lousydatingsite.com___@** and find your true love today!"

I think a lot of the school funding problems would be solved by teaching the administration how to actually SAVE money and not spend it on useless crap. As an example, the local grade school bought 12 `smart` boards (Like these) for approximately $600 each. They never connected them to anything, they are just using them as regular dry erase boards! When asked about them, they said they `had to have them to remain competitive`. So with total incompetence like like that as well as dwindling federal money, it`s no surprise that our schools are failing.

Sad that this is what it`s come to...

But...for some reason, I can`t help but feel it was almost planned that way. Like this is but the bleeding edge of a current stab wound.

Very smart idea. Genius. I was expecting something more along the lines of the product somehow being placed within the problem. But it`s perfect, because students barely take notice of the ads, because it`s only 1-2 lines of text.

Still, this does emphasize the bad state of funding for education. I can definitely feel this effect, having to pay for everything I do and so many teachers resorting to online resources (which is a bit annoying).

that`s a great idea.. at least it gives a short term solution to a problem as well as ring his plight to the attention of the world.

I come to IAB all the time and I hardly ever notice an ad. Doubt I would notice one on paper. I`m ad-banner-immune.8-)

I don`t think advertisers would want their company or product to be subconsciously associated with test-taking in the minds of teenagers.

Zazuch doesn`t know the difference between `there` and `their`. And he`s a college boy? Very bad grammar too, btw.

Zazuch - Dude the US Gov released hundreds of billiard through the fed to help the liquidity of the markets, i.e. it hugely increased its debt. Equally, billiards are spent every month in Iraq/Afghanistan. So WTF are you talking about the US Gov not able to fund highschools??? Education is a long term asset.

@quaintness - you are right who cares, better to fund wars. And it has benefits, when peoples turn into a bunch of total retards with no sort of education, it`s much easier to get them butchered in some country far far away. There is less protest.

i have to ask a question why does think there better then America? i mean were no gem i wont say that but every country has there own draw backs.

On topic
This is sad that a teacher had to resort to this to get paper for there tests. Its also sad how everyone wants America schools to get better but there not willing to pay for it. Glad i am out of high school. Granted my college isn`t doing to much better either lol.

All of these weird and controversial things never happen at my school.. they`re so interesting.

My middle school did have a molestation/rape case, but that`s not too... rare.. anymore.
