sucks for the people to clean that up

Until they test it against a full-frontal Rosie O`Donnell assault, I reserve judgment on its indestructibility.

who`s going to use a train to try to open that... how bout some aspolsives...????

However, they are obviously not Chuck Norris proof.

at least the scientists could admit they love the explosions as much as the science...

i was thinking at first the train was gonna be indestructable,i was wrong

the test was a failure, the train is clearly not indestructable.

Conservation of momentum.

It takes more energy to bring 4 cars to 100mph.
Therefor it expells more energy when coming to a stop.
Therefor there is a greater force in the collision.

I`m skeptical at the way the bracket holding the case flew off. It might have been a different story if a huge block of concrete was behind supporting it.

"Buying the fully-operating train for the test: 50 000$

Wow what world do you live in where things are that cheap? o.O

"I hope the drivers okay!"

Do you really think they would put someone in a train going at that speeds with the desired target it had?

But i agree, will it blend?

I hope the drivers okay!

That was a nice waste of time, they clearly just wanted to crash a train into something and finally found their excuse

So it can withstand a 240 tonne train, but the real test is: will it blend?

Oh, and Lion, for that to work, the one car would have to be moving at supersonic speeds to have as much momentum as that train at 100mph.

That was somewhat unnecessary. It was done more so the public could see nuclear waste was handled with care and extreme protection. There are *many* less expensive tests you could run on such a container.

It wasn`t the nuclear container that destroyed the Train. It was Chuck Norris, standing in front of it while taking a smoke break.

Exactly. 5 cars moving at 100mph has a hell of a lot more force than ONE car moving at 100mph.

but lion, it`s speed isnt directly proportional to the amount of cars there are.

Wow! They had bleachers and a beer garden. Maybe a band playing and T-shirts for sale. Looks like fun.

EPIC WIN! I could have sworn that fire came from the nuke container, but to my surprise that was the train set ablaze.

Someone failed physics then, if the same amount of acceleration is applied to (a) a single engine, or (b) an engine and 4 carriages all weighing the same, then if (a)`s speed is 100 mph, then (b)`s speed will be 20 mph with the same force applied. A single carriage would have had just as much momentum as a train with any number of carriages, because its acceleration can be applied to higher velocity instead of being divided into moving more mass.

Not really a test though, is it. I mean how much force was lost with the crappy back panel just flying away like that.

Wow.... That thing that flew into the air... I think it was the F***ing engine!!!!!! (Or the Nuke Case... But thinking it is the engine of a F***ing train is so much more awesome)

Wow... I at first thought it was to prove that the TRAIN was indestructible... That was disappointing. The explosion made up for that though.

We will run the country on UNICORN POWER!

At first I thought it was to prove the train`s indestructibility. Then when it asploded, I was like "HA! I knew it!".

But then I read the description again...and I was disappointed. So now I embark to develop the indestructible train!

Well, now we can infuse nuclear matter into fiber glasses with our extensive Flouric Acid technology. Most other countries, about 95% i`d say don`t have the means to access such technology, so the radiactive particles will have no effect upon the surrounding environment, and would be completely benign. I think that works just as well.

d katman im pretty sure that the flash at :48 is a camera going off or something...mighty big flash but im not sure looks like it comes from that pole where one would expect to see a camera mounted...also seems to be from where the other angle was shot.

Would have loved it if the container was obliterated and the engineers would have looked liked tards!
Cool though and yeah....awesome music

I thought it would be the indestructibility of the train- that it could endure a nuclear blast.

The extra cars are to give it more momentum and more force.

Where did the fire come from? That confused me, it looks like the old style action movies where things explode really easily.

I`m glad I`ve finally seen this video after being told about this test so many times at school.

Holy crap. That`s pretty awesome, but seems like a waste of cars...maybe the train and one car. Awesome music! And that container is insane.
