it amazes me that they think they`re still they`re relevant. No true music lovers believes what Rolling Stone magazine has to say in regards to what`s good and bad.

@kaffebaggel:
I think the Strolling Bones themselves actually became irrelevant sometime between their fourth and fifth retirements.

Trivium sucks... get off this website. By the way, Black Ice was good in comparison to AC/DC`s other stuff, except Back in Black. How it wasn`t at least top 5 is incredible.

Yeah it`s not the Rolling Stones list, it is the magazine Rolling Stone wich is a sort of equivalent to a zombie in print. It`s about as relevant as a tie-dye shirt as opposed to the band the Rolling stones who will never be out of fashion!

Huh, Tv on the Radio made number 1? That`s kind of surprising to hear, and rather pleasant.

Terrible list. You`ve got a crackhead, drug dealer Lilttle Wayne on there? I wont give me the proper respect, by spelling his name correctly. Jonas Brothers? Any list with any of those names, or people/bands like them, is a void and should be ignored. They are all pop sensations. Soon to die. Not quick enough unfortunately.

Rolling Stone is the magazine that my dad used to read,so it is about as hip and now as "Laugh-In".(old people reference) It`s to magazines what the "Archie"s are to the graphic novel. No offense meant to those of you who read it, just not my first choice.

@fancylad
i was thinking "OH DEAR GOD" almost all the way through that until i saw jonas brothers and lil wayne (or however the hell you spell those)

honestly, what the f--k

id go off on most of these being completely overrated bands and how rap is crap, but i`m too tired (plus i dont care either)

just to make this comment 3X better:

although many of these are definitely good, the fact that the jonas brothers made the list completely destroys its credibility.

Making a list of the best albums of 2008 is like making a list of the advantages of pouring sulfuric acid in your ears. No matter what the top five will be, it`s still pretty bad.

I might be one of the few people who thoroughly enjoyed Death Magnetic. Best stuff since ...And Justice for All IMO. And Chinese Democracy sounds like ass to me.

"I have heard of 11 of these artists.

I think I can officially hand in my relevant credentials, and claim my status as out of touch."

You aren`t out of touch, you just aren`t a pissy hipster who lives in NYC spending your parents rent checks, drinking pabst and purposefully listening to music no one else likes.

I`m a friggin professional musician and I`ve listned to maybe 6 of these albums.

Jonas Brothers were number 40. Maybe read the whole list before you jump to conclusions. Just because they aren`t in the top few doesn`t mean they aren`t on there.

Yeah how did lil` wayne make #3?... I was expecting Cold War Kids to be somewhere on there.... Oh well, I guess they needed room for the Jonas Brothers...
