    Great.
I`m so sick of f*cking terrorists.
Youth like myself and children throughout the world can no longer feel safe and have to worry about if they will even live to see adulthood some day.
This would be a tragedy, hopefully the right precautions will be taken to try and avoid such a threat.

"Terrorists are likely to use a weapon of mass destruction somewhere in the world in the next five years"
    ...............

Yeah we are all scared this could happen and its a possibility, but how is this worth paying a panel to say or worth putting in the news. Let me know when you know where it`s gonna go down, or perhaps a time frame smaller than 5 years...

Well, hey. Letting the terrorists know that we`re onto their strategy really deteriorates their plans.

Although it`d be more effective if they had a more precise time range, or knew which people were on this plan.

I was guessing 2012, but I was off by a year of course. I don`t know how you could ever possibly determine the next terrorist attack, unless they were to go off of that computer matrix predictiing program they have made.

"Anthrax is a natural product of dead animals"

Well that`s nice to know, I mean just go off and tell them where it is...namely everywhere.

but really... why is "It COULD happen, you never know, Somewhere in the world, at some point in the future, it just might happen." Well no kidding, and while we are defending ourselves from biological weapons, some smart ass asteroid comes sneaking up behind us and just like that, no one gives a damn about anthrax, and want to know why we didn`t prepare for the asteroid... or they will for about 20 minutes.

I do enjoy that fact, KeePay.

Our news is just our military plans on a large screen with an aging woman talking about them. Why is it that McCain`s medical records are confidential, but an accurate report of where our troops are in Iraq is free knowledge to ANYONE!?!?!?

a time and place? If by time you mean "within the next six years" and by place you mean "somewhere in the world" then yeah. Well lets see. There are 195 countries so its a 1/195 chance that it will be us. and there are 4 regular years, one leap year, and 28 days until the end of 2013 so that`s 1854 days. Over all thats a 1/361,530 chance on any given day. The odds of getting hit by lightnings are about 1/83,930. Very precise study, us government

setting off a biological weapon to kil 10s of thousands of people is kinda stupide - even for terrorists. the second you do that, the whole world will be dropping bombs on you and your goats

Well, our Government is either doing something extremely right or very, very wrong. Because I know the terrorists aren`t stupid. They may not be as tactical or trained as our military folk, but they simply are not stupid. If they really wish to "get" us good, they can throw biological agents in our water system. To include our major irrigation sources for our agriculture.

If they really want to create havock, they can explode bombs strategically placed on the power grid of New York in the winter. Inside the bomb should be biological agents. This would not only knock out New York`s power grid, but infect millions. And during the winter without power, thousands will create fires in buildings. Then the city may burn.

Or they could make everyone get involved in an IAB gun rights debate. Many will perish.

    Was this a good guess?

A lot of criticism here and I think a lot of it is undue.

For one, most people demanded why we didn`t know 9/11 was going to happen. People couldn`t believe we didn`t see it coming. So, obviously, the government is doing what it can to prevent a similar situation.

And of course the result will be an estimate, they are running off of models with nearly infinite variables and they only have limited data over the terror monitoring. Bash Bush all you like, but he was very apt at making sure we have better monitors on terrorists.

And we have so many of these plans, they are only reporting these to the public because it matters. I guarantee they have timetables for a war with China, Iran, Russia, hell even Great Britain and India. Those of course are military matters and citizens need not be briefed.

Its amazing, Americans are up in arms when we don`t have the information. Then we scoff when we are given information. Says a lot...

to be honest, i wasn`t that surprised that we didn`t have that much information after 9/11. the media told me i should be, and then told me that we need to be prepared for the next one. it seems to me like this is popping up just as the iran scare is dieing down a bit.

True, I guess it does depend on what you believe on the information.

I personally think our information on 9/11 was similar to the information we had about Pearl Harbor. In the latter case, we had the Japanese attack orders, we just couldn`t deduce them from the code they were using. Before 9/11 I believe we were hearing chatter (in their own little code), but we didn`t exactly know what it all meant.

But as I had said, I think our monitoring of terrorist activity and chatter has vastly improved and it allows those listening to begin drawing some conclusions from what they are hearing.

So damn true. Makes you think... were we hearing complaints from one side when we didn`t get the warning... and now are we getting complaints from the other "for" giving the warning? Or is it all the same people who can find nothing better to do than to complain about the Government no matter what they do? I vote on the latter.

That`s one good thing about Bush. He mostly stuck to his guns and to hell with the critics. Because you can only please some people some of the time...

""The consequences of a biological attack are almost beyond comprehension. It would be 9/11 times 10 or a hundred in terms of the number of people who would be killed," former Sen. Bob Graham said." I thought it was a joke site at first, haha.

Well, so much for answering those stupid surveys when they ask you "What do you think you`ll be doing in the next 5 years?" Probably taking a dirt nap.

Fear, the credit card of the Industrial Military Complex. Anyone notice the douchebags that sponsored this "supposed" intel? The same asswipes that said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and were ready to use them against us, Boehner and Nunn.

I am tired of this "fear everyone" tripe being shoved down my throat. If it happens we will deal with it, we can`t prevent it. However this is just propaganda and hopefully will not be used to further attack our constitution...seriously anyone who still thinks these people are credible after Iraq really needs to stop and analyize who we are electing into office.

All Americans need to watch for V for Vendetta. If anyone of them don`t even make out a single similarity to their own country and government, they should be shot in the knee caps a few times.

The American public has become desensitized to the whole terrorism thing since 9-11. There`s nowhere near as much oomph as we had since that day, with the whole Iraq debacle and all.

If we DONT get attacked, great. Life goes on and we continue our plans to invade Canada like before. If we DO, then the citizens will get rallied up again and the war effort will get new life.

    It`s a win-win for somebody...

Terrorists only win if you are afraid. I just love how media puts the fear in us all. Really people just live your life. Unless you live in New York, cause seriously New Yorkers, you`re drated.

    Team America, World Police FTW.

Spottswoode: From what I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.N.C.E has gathered, it would be 9/11 times 100.
Gary Johnston: 9/11 times a hundred? Jesus, that`s...
    Spottswoode: Yes, 91,100.
Chris: Basically, all the worst parts of the bible.

    @LoofahBoy

Silly Loofahboy. Haven`t you seen Canadian Bacon? You`d better invade the Canadians before they invade you! They do have a threatening lead in zamboni technology after all!

All this fear-mongering is really starting to annoy me. In my very small, insignificant county, for instance, there exists a sign down one of the main streets proclaiming the terror threat warning *in our county* to be yellow. What the f*ck are terrorists going to blow up, our H.E.B. (grocery chain)? There are far more pertinent places to terrorize than here, but a lot of people don`t acknowledge that. The biggest disappointment is that the government can reasonably expect such tactics to "work", which is actually the most tragic aspect of it all.

Stuff like this only does the terrorists jobs, without them getting out of bed in the morning, They have done a good job, planting the seed of fear into every goverment and media group, which in turn just wants to televise every WCS going to scare the pants off every one else

Nawww really, 30 years of invading countries and dismantling them might have blow-back.
