this video is pretty awesome
To make it simple and to the point, we were driving home from the grocery store on a rainy Sunday evening, and when we least expect it, BANG! Lightning struck about 50ft away and we almost crashed because the sound scared us fuckless. Like another user said, it was like a flashbang, but a bit worse.
if that happened to me, i would`ve ran on the spot. lol
It happened a long time ago when I was in the 6th or 7th grade, and I was sitting in the office after school waiting for my mother to come pick me up and there was a telephone pole about 100 feet from the office.
First it started off as really loud static, and then it built up into a high pitched sound, and next thing we knew a bolt of lightening struck the telephone pole and the flash was so intents it was almost like looking into a flash bomb grenade as one goes off. Left everyone blind for a few seconds with ringing in their ears.
I would`ve been screaming. ):
The one 8 feet away shattered a picture window I was standing next to, which showered shards of glass all over me.
The one 2 feet away was at a red light and I had to open a car door to re-close the door. Upon opening the door, the bolt struck in the small gap between the body of the car and the car door and blew a chunk out of the concrete curb.
Kinda like dane cook described in his joke about car crashes, "It`s more like a concerned moan"
It was only a 58 second clip. No one here can wait 58 seconds? Besides, it built up some tension, I was waiting for it to happen. I wouldn`t want it to be a 5 second video with just a lightning strike, then it would have been like, oh, a lightning strike.
anyways, holy crap x.x
"Look, we landed on the moon!""Fake."
"Look, terrorists flew planes into the twin towers, pentagon, and almost to the white house!""Fake."
"Look, a lightni-""Fake."
ZOMGZ FAK!I HAZ STAN NEX 2 LITNIN BULT BEFOR AN IT HURT MAH CAMARAH.
15 feet (4.5m) away from a lightning strike. RIGHT, you do know the you would have suffered flash burns and being knocked unconscious right?
Also that guy is about 25m (82 feet) away from the strike, well out of the "EMP" range. drating crazy though. Further proof that nature is drating awesome and will kill you if it feels like it.
