that`s just not true, plenty of people live stable lives in africa, what i was suggesting, because i don`t think that people put the pieces together here, was that the common cultural influence is islam.
idk if i agree with that or not but thats what this video is saying.
Because I`m not laughing.
yeah, like a movie will tell you everything going on in Africa.
Most the people in Africa have no affiliation with ideals because they are uneducated, oppressed, and spend the entire day trying to survive.
Children are taken from their family and forced to fight a civil war, forced to kill there own people. That is if your a boy, if your a girl they will just rape you... repeatedly.
It`s so sad, when both the rebels and the government want to exploit you...
Watch the movie "Lord Of War"
Well, there`s 10 million problems. I guess I`ll donate a 1/100th of a penny to each cause then.
I was simply pointing out that the carnage in that movie is the daily REALITY occurring in various parts of Africa. And if you honestly think that we can "cure" this situation by ceasing to buy jewelery or throwing money and food at the problem (which will get stolen anyway), you`re just being ignorant and living in a fantasy world. If you would like to "donate" your money to help child soldiers get guns (which this ad got right since most donations end up in the wrong hands), by all means pay up, because I won`t be. I`d rather donate to the poor in this country first.
first of all its a shame that that is what you got out of that movie, and secondly do you really think that that movie portrayed africa perfectly? it was based in a nation that was in the middle of a civil war. i mean, c`mon, the point of the movie was that our greed created the situation in the first place.
Abortions? I think it`s worth a shot.
so true. i foud myself laughing for about a full minute before the overload of emotional appeal swayed me and i was all frowns and downs...
The help child soldiers title before you click the link gives it away... I mean, seriously.
Anyway, I was hoping to see some of these child soldiers cheering at a new tank they were just sent screaming things like "Awesome! We get to use this??". Heh, now THAT would have been funny.
anyways.it makes me think of commercials, and how they can be made to sell everything. And the public just swallows it whole if it has some catchy music and artsy editing.
The knife donation was awsome!
