"(Oregonians don`t know how to drive)"
This is so true. especially not in the snow! I am originally from Salem, but I moved to PA last winter and I know how to drive in the snow now. Oregonians are kind of wimpy when it comes to snow.

I liked this video though... they remind me of toy cars. it`s fun!

This shows the intelligence of humans. "Hey that guy can`t get up this hill I bet i can make it!" Some people did make it tho.

Every year we run into this here in Oregon. Part of the reason I moved from Portland are the type of drivers that live in the area.

Oh well, these videos are always good for a laugh.

Wow. So, I`m from Oregon. EVERY YEAR Portland does something like this. Two years ago, cars kept sliding down an icy hill and crashing into the last car that thought they could make it. THEY DID IT ALL DAY.
Last year, somewhere on the internet there`s a video of cars sliding around, hitting other cars, reminiscent of a pinball hitting bumpers...

I can`t believe no one ever came to salt it after that long time of going up and sliding down for the cars.... :P

I thought these were toys at first. Mainly because of the music. It was funny though. They should salt that hill.

BTW don`t mean to be picky, but it`s spelled `icy`. :)

Yeah it`s basically pure ice on the roads where I`m living, but luckily I`m in the prairies so there aren`t any hills to speak of. Yay?

My father lives on a hill that is nearly impossible to get up when it snows, but people always try. I love the persistent ones. Each time they get about 1 foot further up the hill, then have to back down and try again, or give up.

Big storm tomorrow, I`ll have to break out the 4x4 and video camera to record the fun.

My favorite was the car that I had to switch drivers. That would have been me. I`m from the desert and now live in the northeast. I`m gonna be screwed come the first real snowfall.

Please don`t drive tomorrow you`ll cause traffic/destruction/deaths. Yay snow and a scary commute that takes forever!! *eye twitches*

my car wont even START in this weather, and i just got a new battery! how lameeeee! i bet you it will start ALL next week.. just cause im not working 12 days in a freaking row. sigh. any of you that say you want snow.. you can freaking have it! cause know what comes with it? below zero temperatures and having to run out to your car 20 minutes before you leave to start it so the frost can melt so you can see. otherwise you have to stand out in the cold and scrape

But always icy in winter. Try get that up with a rear-wheel drive, half impossible even with new steel-studded tyres

Oh Portland. I swear they all forget how to drive when there is a weather change. If its too wet theres traffic problems, if its too sunny theres traffic problems, if theres snow... well I just prefer not to go on the streets. I swear the only time Portlanders drive well is when its overcast and not raining.

The funniest thing is that I watched people try to make it up hill all day long. It`s kind of a tradition for me. Oh the joys of bad drivers and hills.

Of course they can`t. Portlanders are a bunch of rainy-day whiners. "Awww, SNOW? Boo hoo!"
To be fair, I lived 8 years in Eugene. So I know about Oregon weather. They scream like little girls at the first flakes.

I think the weather has been weird around here this year. Other years in which it has snowed, it only lasted for a day or two but, this is spanning nearly a week of on-off snowfall. o_O

This video just made finals week a bit more bearable. Thanks fancy.

I also loved seeing the 4 wheel vehicles just shoot up the hill with no problem. Why do we buy 4WD SUVs at 10 MPG? Exactly this reason, lol.

dumb asses need to learn winter driving. that hill is nothing. the right tires and dont spin no problem. the douches in the 4 wheel drive cause more problems cause they drive fast and slide as much as everyone.

Ha. I live 20 minutes from Portland, and we`ve been having quite the amount of snow. We`ve almost had a full week of snow days now, and if we get Friday off, we get a 3 week winter break.

Wait, wasn`t there a post last year about cars in Portland not being able to stop, ending up in a huge car pileup?

"fi**t!!! :3
this reminds me of seattle- half an inch of snow and we don`t have school"

Actually, no, you weren`t the fabled reply.

its easy to see the people who either had A 4 wheel drive B enough sense to not stop at the top or C. the luck of not having to stop at the top. and lastly D people who know how not to punch the gas as you go up the hill. You have speed and you just maintain your speed don`t try to accelerate or you will get stuck.

I like how towards the end one car backs down and they switch drivers(at 1:05). I forget if they made it up but i still find it funny.

You`d think after people try the second time they would go a different way but no some people on there try 5 or 6 times before giving up.
