A shame, really.
hmm... maybe you would win an award or something for tied scores. Almost anything gets you a new award.
If you have an extra however (two or more 1s or 5s), you have the option of keeping all the dies, as the Realist CPU plays, keeping only one, so that the next roll has more options. This is in fact a better strategy (in theory) if you have two 5s: keeping only one 5 allows you to roll again, but with 5 dies instead of only 4.
this is my grandfathers favourite game ever and me and my cousins have played this every time we visited him since we were like 8 years old and was able to count. i can`t believe it`s a real game :) thought it was something he made up or somthing
And as someone who`s fascinated with mathematics I`m tempted to calculate the probabilities and chances of scoring high, but Ii can`t be bothered to draw it up.
All i know is, as an extension to slugs` tips, if you still have 3 dies to roll, keep rolling because each dice left still has a 1/3 chance of being a 1 or a 5.
Unless the stupid computer gets lucky.
Some tips:1. Don`t try and get 1000+ points every roll, you have to bank smaller points or you will never get anywhere.
2. Say you roll a 1 and two 5`s, only hold one 1 and reroll, now you have a better chance of getting more 1`s or higher scoring dice.
3. Remember that only 1`s and 5`s are scoring dice alone, anything else ( 2, 3, 4, 6) have to be three of a kind or part of a straight to score. Straights are very rare and you can only get it on the first roll, so don`t bother trying after that.
damn "luck" games
wish it had more yahtzee to it...I`d be doing better.
why is 2 1`s worth 200, 2 5`s worth 100 and 2 6`s worth nothing?
I have the worst luck...
It`s why I lost my left lung to the slots. D:
