20 people welcome home a complete stranger at JFK Airport. This is how I want to return home from a plane trip.

aw the last girl cried. some people have horrible trips, or horrible situations going on in their life and its nice to put a smile on their face. you never know, some person could have been coming back from a loved one`s funeral or something

Improv Everywhere is pretty funny the first time around, then it gets pretty much blaaah.
But that was nice for all those people, feeling special like that. I wish I had that warm gushy feeling all the time.
And I just luved the driver. Too funny.
@beternal, this video and your random act has inspired me to one day do the same! It`ll be fun!

Reminds me of a Christmas years ago when we were all sitting around stoned and started ringing random numbers around the world, wishing them a Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year. We called about 50 people, amazing that about 90% of them understood English enough to understand and laugh when we explained what we were doing; all except the Yanks, who were ALL unfriendly, rude and not-at-all-amused. We soon realised it was 3 am Monday morning in the US. Whoops.

It would have been really funny if one of those people who was being welcomed just played along, running and hugging people and being like "John, stephanie, barbara, I missed you guys, come here! Will, you`re here too, man this is great, its great to see you guys!

Aww it`s so sweet. I love these improv people, such a cool thing to do. The only similar thing I`ve ever done is I picked a number randomly out of the phone book and called them. It was some random woman, and I talked to her for like 20 minutes. First she kept asking me who I was, and I was just like "I just wanna talk about your day" and we had a good conversation :D

lol, me and my friends did something similar! :-) We picked a random jogger running through the park and just started jogging with him. Asked him how he was, what he did - you know - just friendly chitchat :-D

Makes you wonder, why can`t everyone, everywhere, be this nice all the time. Did you notice the smiles on the people as they were greeted? By perfect strangers no less. Ramdom acts of kindness! To everyone who thought negatively of this action, may you one day be greeted like that!

Wouldn`t it be funny if they took him to the airport bar for a few welcome home drinks, then just sort of drifted off, and then the barman tells him that he`s up for all his friends` drinks tab!

That was just awesome. I love these people. :-D

This kind of reminds me what happened about two weeks ago.
I exited my school, and there was this circle of people surrounding the door. They just started cheering. So after I pushed through them, I stood and watched for a while. For every person that left the building, they would either cheer or boo.
Last Friday, the same guys stood by the door and one of them pretended to get their head hit by the door. Yeah... they tricked me, started apologizing... but at the same time, I was kind of cruel... I started laughing first.
