It"s only the most anticipated-by-nerds movie of 2009 and the latest trailer backs that claim.

I think the ends did justify the means, when you compare what was lost with what was gained (Although thats easy for me to say now. If certain events were to occur in real life, i would probably have a different outlook). I also loved Rorschach`s unwavering commitment to his own beliefs, and how his personal story came to it`s conclusion. Im afraid of giving away spoilers if I elaborate any further.

Do you think they`ll include any of the Pirate comic book in the movie? If you have no idea what in the hell i am talking about, then go read the book! Its incredible!

I read the comic over the summer and am really looking forward to see how the movie is.

However, I really wish Frank Miller (Sin City) was directing it instead of the 300 guy. That guy kinda makes me think it might not turn out as good as it can be...~_~ I really hope I`m wrong.

i saw this before quantum of solace, and it was definitely one of the only things that caught my eye.
i`m surprised that according to comments nobody really has powers (except one) but whatever still looks good.
i agree with whomever says the ends do not justify the means.

On a second note, this looks awesome. I liked both 300 and Sin City, but they were okay movies, I know the hype predicts this will be epic but I just hope so.

Admittedly, I know nothing about Watchmen, but the trailer looks pretty cool. I suppose I`ll have to bug my friend to let me borrow the GN.

"crazy people who dress up and will hide in your fridge and beat the poo out of you in order to fight crime" is a more accurate descriptor

I didn`t think the ends justified the means and I don`t think they ever do. I can elaborate much more on why this particular story didn`t but I would give away spoilers!

Lol, no problem Quackor, its my utmost goal to keep people away from movies with my comments.

Now onto the next forum to ruin Twilight! SuperDakkar...AWAY!

I never think the ends justify the means. This was no exception.

On a side note, I`m seriously excited about this movie. There`s a risk though, that it will be simplified (and that would really be a shame).

Glycon forgive me, I want to see this!
And Rorschach, being a right-wing sod, is completely despicable.

ya Dakkar, it probably will be on the DVD. I can`t see them not including it in some respect. While it didn`t effect the plot very much, it was a very important parallel to the main story, and alot of screen time (page time?) was dedicated to it.

Nah, Pirate story is out of the what will be seen in theaters. But on the DVD its going to be included in some aspect.

I enjoyed the story in the GN, but I think it would drag the flow of a movie down. I think with the DVD it will give them a bit more lee-way to make it right.

I agree Dakkar, I was supporting Rorschach all the way too. He was the character I respected most all the way to the very end.

Oh and kaptink, I don`t think they changed the end, it was made up to throw people off but we won`t actually know until March.

Its not in any comic universe Backfat. From what you could get from the Wiki, its about "costumed heroes" who do not have any superpowers themselves except for one. The ones without are not like Batman though, many are just average people who dress up and fight crime.

And don`t let the action trailers fool you. Its a suspenseful mystery masterpiece, the GN anyways. If they can correctly adapt it to film, it no doubt will be a masterpiece too.

This movie will be simply fantastic. March is such a long ways away.

I`ve read the GN. As soon as I saw the first trailer I went out to buy it. At the end I was supporting Rorschach all the way and his commitment to his beliefs. Needless to say, the final scene was uplifting for me in that respect.

I don`t know anything about Watchmen. Who are they? Is that DareDevil, and Elektra? I hated both of those movies.

This looks interesting, I guess, if you like WAY too many special effects.

I cannot wait to see this, it looks so good.

Has anyone else read the graphic novel? Just wondering if anyone else has an opinion if whether or not the end justified the means without giving away any spoilers.
