its not necissarily from Oblivion ¬_¬ Hes a victorian urban legend. He allegedly jumped from rooftop to rooftop, killing prostitutes and such. Not to be confused with Jack the Ripper. Prostitutes are just easy targets.

Springheel Jak was a renown thief vampire in Oblivion, "currently" going under the name of Jakben, Earl of Imbel. Jakben Imbel. You had to *gasp* remove his boots for a reward

^^^
thats not where it originated. The legend of Springheeled jack has been around in england for decades.

Yeah I was going to say, its from Oblivion.

But then again lately the name Jack has become very popular. Jack Harkness. Jack Skellington. Jack Sparrow. etc

Interesting video. Animation sucked.

"I don`t care what the real story is. The music, the animation, and the story were all very good." I do animation, the animation was bad. Horrible if you consider that it was supposed to be made by professionals. If you want to see amazing animation checkout The Triplets of Bellville.

Pabasa, I live in the US, and haven`t heard of SpringHeeled Jack until today.
But then again I don`t play Oblivion or other games of the such.
I guess maybe I have heard of him, just under the name of The Bogeyman... or something.

I don`t care what the real story is. The music, the animation, and the story were all very good. I`m surprised this is rated as low as it is.

In Elder Scrolls IV, when working as a thief, you can get the boots of Spring-Heeled Jak, I think from his grave. :3

I was thinking the same thing when I saw him creep up to the bed!

Interesting project, but honestly it was of such poor quality that I had to look over the credits to see if it was something an animation class at a third rate college did. The animation, modeling and rendering were all of poor quality and the redeeming qualities such as lighting, layout, and camera work were only moderately good. I`m guessing some studio got a minimal budget to animate something for a commercial slot with a deadline. Not impressive

Pabasa: I thought so too, the Oblivion reference. He was a vampire though.

Beautiful animation.

And eh, reminds me of that Torchwood episode...

Llamaz: Indeed. I thought that name sounded familiar, and then your post reminded me it was the name of the thief in Oblivion.

Isn`t it sad how the younger generations now recognize fairytale legends only via reference in video games?
