Money is made from a polymer, which doesn`t biodegrade. If they bury it, that`s pollution! D:

i doubt he used usuable money. if you go to a mint or some place, you can get bags of cut up old money for free. the bills aren`t recyclable so the government just takes old money out of circulation and give it away (or bury it) after its been cut up.

bungled: "It is a federal offense to deface, mutilate, impair, diminish, counterfeit, etc. U.S. currency, (18 U.S.C. 33). "

I`m pretty sure this guy doesn`t care. And there`s still a possibility that it`s photoshop... douche

hokay so unless he did this with photoshop and virtually cut up a dollar bill... this has to just be friggin expensive!!
i mean if every canvas can have anywhere from 1 to who knows how many dollars... that could add up fast. still cool though lol.
i mean if theres an average of just 4 bucks a painting that`s 124 bucks and there could me more used per canvas.... 0.o

I know, but shhhh - we can`t pass up an opportunity to burn someone at the stake. Throw yourself on the mercy of the Court, we promise to sell your ashes on ebay.

What I want to know is... where is he getting all the dollars!?

"A lot of laws were created for a purpose that is no longer viable or was never adequately enforced."

Statutory rape is a perfect example.

True, the "spirit" of the law was to prevent alteration or modification of the currency in an attempt to pass it off as genuine (eg changing a $5 into a $50), but you never know.

Hey, I`ve been pulled over 3 times for Jay-walking here in Seattle. It`s a bigger offense than being caught with less than 1.0 oz of pot.

Lion, isn`t that one of those laws that REALLY isn`t enforced, like jay-walking?

Wow, his one-dollar artworks can cost him serious jail time. It is illegal to cut up, deface or otherwise destroy or alter currency, as it is the property of the Federal Government at all times. Awesome art though :-)
