Link: Hillbilly Fireworks / Tracer Shoot - Big group of people firing thousands of tracer rounds into the night sky. Nice alternative to fireworks.

"haha that would come from somewhere like Alabama or Texas."

im thinking more nevada or arizona, somewhere with a desert, and somewhere that doesnt have hillbillies. it has to either be in another country (non USA) or those arent civilians. seeing as how it is illigal to own automatic weaponry, and tracer rounds.

Why is it that everyone who likes to shoot guns in America is automatically labeled a hillbillly..I live on the liberal west coast and yet I`ve never met a man who doesn`t like shooting a gun.

uh ..its not illegal to buy and own automatic weapons in every single state (such as texas) and not all states have bans on tracer rounds either. plus, just because something is illegal doesn`t mean people still don`t own/buy/shoot them. lol

See you Americans could solve your manpower in the military problem in a heartbeat.
Bring in a new law that anyone who applies for a gun licence has to serve 3 years in the military first :-) you also would get all the gun nuts outta your country :-)

Gun restrictions will become a great idea when there is no threat of governmental tyranny. And I can forgive you for not knowing, because you live in Europe, but government tyranny has been increasing more and more in recent years.

Yay, they have big guns. Automatics which are good for killing... people. Yes, let all of our citizens (unless you have been charged with murder already) be able to buy them. What a great idea!!!!!

These are not used for hunting unless u like your deer with lead/phosphorus which is an extremely good idea to eat (so you fking die and rot in hell).

Yes i have shot 22`s and 306`s but they are bolt action and not designing for mowing down people.

America is worse off for letting people own guns though, lets be honest. There`s more gun crime because people find it easier to get guns. I wouldn`t know where to begin looking for a gun here in the UK. People complain about how much crime there is, get rid of the guns for gods sake.

I think this is a place where you can rent a gun to shoot like that...kinda like a carnival thing.

Can shoot whatever weapon you could ever want for a fee. The people shooting don`t own the guns, I bet.

yep...looks like one of them pay to shoot ranges, good fun but still would prefer my blackpowder gun to one of them MGs. Classic is always best.
And to all the anti-gun ranting douchebags, stuff it for once and enjoy the vid, no one gives a hoot and to ban violent crime you have to ban humans, end of the story and no arguement against it.

the cool thing is that quite often tracer rounds are only put in after 4 normal rounds. So for each tracer you see there is 4 rounds that have came before or after it.

And to the people saying people shouldnt own guns like that. As other people said its a pay to shoot place. You pay x amount of cents or dollars per round you shoot.

For the gun control people no one cares about what people have to say either way. If people wanted a serious gun control debate they surely would go someplace else other then iab to discuss it.

If you get a direct hit in your head with one I`m pretty sure it can kill you. Even flare guns kill when shot at point blank. I`m not too sure about being hit in other places though.

First thought when seeing this: Tracers? Tracers?? You mean lasers! :P

Ok lets some some things straight.. zazuch, yes normally a trace round is every 5th round, however you can very easily link a belt of tracers, I have seen this done several times. Reasons for doing such: On one military post I was stationed at, because of dry weather, there had been a tracer ban for a couple months. We had a night of really good rain, so they said to burn all tracer rounds.. so they linked together several belts of tracers and fired them off. Now, the really stupid part about how they are doing this: they are on full auto, burning off the entire belt in one pull.... BAD IDEA, as this will quickly melt the barrel and ruin the weapon. Seen this happen as well (I`ve worked on several ranges for 240B and 249. These people are either idiots, or destroying decommissioned weapons. And yes, a tracer round (phosphorous tipped) WILL kill you. They are normal rounds with a special tip, that`s it. However, yes, it will burn the *** out of you. Have fun, stay safe!

Also, how is this a nice alternative to fireworks?? firing thousands of rounds with chemicals into the air vs a cardboard explosive.. These rounds do ricochet, up to and past a 90 degree turn off the range. Seen that as well...

No, it`s to see where you`re shooting when you have a machine gun.

With a machine gun, it doesn`t really matter if they can see where the bullets are coming from or not--they`ll know where you are.

The scariest thing about this video is seeing how far the bullets bounce...

phosphorus is in the tip of tracer rounds, and their bouncing off of the ground when they hit it, ricocheting.
