Aw, how much I love nature. . .

The first video was awesome because that little fish just disappeared into the abyss.

The second video posted by ilovewasabi - those fish were all, "whaaaaaaaaaat?"

Octopus can change its color, its texture and can squeeze himself to adapt its size as well.

How about a super flexible lcd screen garment that covers one side of your body with a camera mounted on the otherside that reproduces on the screen what you would see if the person standing there was not there - invisibility!

Both cuttlefish and octopus can change color to match their environment and can do it very quickly. Sometimes they change color back and forth, probably as some sort of alarm.

No, I`m pretty sure that cuttlefish do disguise themselves in their environments. I`ve seen videos of them camouflaging themselves even to the point of changing the texture of their skin. Chameleons, on the other hand, change color as pertaining to their mood. Also, at least I think this was chameleons, they move so little that, up until the early 1900`s, people believed that they survived solely on air.

Cuttlefish do taste quite nice. Better then Squid anyways. And to think they`re considered the most intelligent fish makes them perfect brain food. :)

It`s actually not camoflaging(sp?) itself. cuttlefish change color when they are emotionly active for example, when they are in combat the pulsate from red to white. He noticed the diver and got suprised.
I should know.
I`m an expert, can`t you tell from my accent?

okay okay, thats cool and all, but heres the real question. what if it were colorblind? god i wish i had a comic strip for this idea. "oh god, the barracuda is back, and frank is trying to be green on that red coral!"
