First David Foster Wallace and now Crichton. The world is truly going to hell. What a depressing post to be my 1,000th.

He was a great writer. He was never anti-technology, but he sure wrote like it.

Aw c`mon, Jurassic Park 1, 2 and 3 were all the same plot and mindless chases anyway, they could still make Jurassic Park 4, 5, 6 and 999. And I bet he wasn`t REALLY privately battling cancer, I bet he was privately battling a 30 foot tyrannosaurus rex clone he made in his own basement when it happened.

Now if only we could find a cure to Crapius Sequeltomilkthecashcowus.

Thankfully he left us with a great library of work to remember him by.

Gratz on 1000th, six, sorry it was depressing though. Well, I tried to read Jurassic Park, but admit that I just couldn`t get into it. Granted I was like 12 at the time (had just seen the movie). Maybe I`ll try again, in honor.

They should play the jurasic park theme song at his funeral. Also they should invite barney the dinosaur for some light entertainment.
