How did I know that was going to happen at some point. The parties always try to do something like that around voting time

I suppose with Obama and Osama being in the news a lot, someone got them mixed up... that or they were rooting for McCain.

"umm is john mccain going for republicans AND independant fraction? or is it a different guy? how can he be in 2 parties?

enlighten me with your knowledge of the american party system! please :)"

Not an official on the matter, but I think it`s more a `if you are an independant voter voting for McCain, mark here` spot.. as you can`t see below it, you can`t see if Obama has one like it lower on the list?

Running theory is all.

sounds like it was intentional. Three proof reads and "we wont fix it unless its requested..". Yup.

That b/s mixup was a B.S. Mixup. They`re not even close to each other on the keyboard.

Hey, the S and B keys are only two inches away from each other on a standard QWERTY keyboard.

And the letters do look terribly alike.
Not even the best proof-reader could discern an S from a B so easily.

It`s an honest mistake, don`t you think?

"proofread by three people".
1. Obviously not.
2. You got people who cant know poo about the elections proofreading election ballots. Dumbass.

Nov. 4 can`t come faster. I care about politics but this trivial crap every freakin` day is sickening.

deanmalenko, the independent "party" doesn`t actually exist. It`s just a way to see how people who aren`t committed to any party vote.

since when?

It`s like that lipstick thing that Obama said. False allegations are effective because the other party has to spend time arguing against it. And just arguing against it puts it into peoples minds. For example;

Obama Denies being a child rapist.

Makes the ignorant masses associate child rape with Obama, it doesn`t matter if it`s totally unrelated or unfounded!

p.s I recently found out that Mccain is 75. I thought it was a joke. At least that lowers the chances of him having a sex scandal. Although if he did have a sex scandal it`d be much worse :(

If you repeat the fallacy often enough then people will eventualy swallow it, subconsciously. You`d be surprised how well it works (some 20% of Americans actually believe Obama is Muslim).

Another example: Following 9/11. "Afghanistan, Afghanistan, Afghanistan and Iraq, Afganistan and Iraq, Iraq and Afghanistan, Afganiraq, Iraqistan, Iraq, IRAQ!. Quick, invade Iraq, let`s get those terrorist bastards before we get attacked again!"

Honest mistake or not its is way too late in the game to be doing this crap. Jesus were supposed to be the leaders of the free world and we can`t seem to hold an election anymore without some stupid BS going on.

Can you please stop posting irrelevant crap about people messing up Obama`s name (on purpose or not)? No one cares and it has become really grating.

"Don`t Jinx it. Just because Obama has popularity doesn`t mean he`s going to win look at the Bush Gore race. Gore had about the same amount of popularity in the polls at about this time as Obama does (if memory serves) and look how that turned out."

Uh, Gore won..

I just read about this on yahoo...

It was probably a mistake. I don`t think people would be THAT upfront about being bigoted/hateful/stupid blah blah blah.

Oh well, who cares! Obama wins the 08 election, he`s our next president. We should all start our early celebrations. No way in hell McCain will win.
