Alice mate, I think it`s meant to be Broltergeist in the same way those frat jocks often call each other "Brospeh" for some obscure reason. So yeah.

Typically, frat guys (fraternity brothers) call each other "bro", though it usually sounds more like "brah".

    For example:
"Hey brah, can you toss me another natty?"
    "Sure thing brah!"
(natty of course refers to Natural Ice Beer, though sometimes it can mean Natural Light)

Also, many frat guys are believed to have a jock/bully personality, coupled with the extremes of alcoholism and barely adequate academic records.

The reason these people thrive in the college culture is that they have the means to provide beer (at a steep rate, in general), and the venue in which to hold a party (I`ve never seen a frat house under 3 stories).

It`s gone beyond just using the term bra to refer to other brothers, but it now is a prefix to many words, such as `broseph` referring to a certain brother, `brohirim` referring to the frat as a whole, and a plethora of others.

Of course, some links which highlight the bro-tastic stereotype in internet culture:

    Frat Boy Dad

    Bro Rape

Compared to a poltergeist, a broltergeist actually seems like it would be scarier to live with.

So skine you seem so know alot of stereo types about Fraternity men. Are you actually in a Fraternity or are you just going off of what you see in movies and on TV?

Skine, have you done research on this? o_O

The end was the funniest, little "don`t be a fag" message, haha.
