Edward Norton, You Were a Dick At Vons

What do you do when you"re snubbed by a once-popular actor at a grocery store? You go to Craigslist and vent.

And btw, I also have to agree with alot of posteres here about the caption. ONE POPULAR? Um, Ed is a fantastic actor, and I dont consider him a has-been just b/c he hasnt been in any new movies lately. I hardly EVER go see movies anymore b/c like someone else said, they`re all CRAP with no talent morons like the douchebag that stars in the Ricky Bobby and Talladega Nights films (which i have never seen just b/c the previews alone were vomit worthy). What happened to GOOD movies?

Poeple like this guy forget that celebs are normal people. I`m sure Ed just wanted to grocery-shop in peace like anyone else. After all, famous or not, would you want some crazy douchebag creepily evaluating the contents of your shopping cart or hounding you while buying your dinner? I wouldn`t. Maybe this idiot was just jealous b/c Ed actually had the talent to become a successful actor and he didnt. We love you anyway, Ed - frozen shrimp, tube socks and all.

He`s just lucky Edward Norton didn`t get angry with him. You wouldn`t like him when he`s angry...

..The man was buying frozen shrimp. I think I`d leave him alone. I might stare, but I`d leave him alone. Obviously, shrimp, like Pokemon, is serious buisness.

Notice how he doesn`t mention exactly what Norton did... for all we know Mr. Norton said "I`m sorry, I`m just trying to shop here. Thank you" And that`s it, this guy is obviously a little crazy and NOT on a TV Show anyone actually watches.

Lol. Eh. Celebs should always be considerate to their fans in my opinion. No matter how inconveniant. It`s part of the job. Fans basically provide their salary.

Celebrities are allowed to have off days. However the price for the fame and fortune is putting up with the fame. If they didnt want recognition they should get a different job. I`m sorry..but being in the public eye is part of the job.

I`m not saying that we should have guided tours of their homes or demand entry into their private lives. But being recognized on the street is an occupational hazard. Thems the breaks.

People need to get over themselves, realize everyone has bad days, and that they really don`t give a flying frack about you.
If you are so freaking caught up in the make believe Hollywood personality dream land that you think someone you don`t even know owes you the time of freaking day, then guess what? Wake up call! You are a complete moron! They don`t owe you anything more than the next guy walking down the street. Go cry me an emo river the next time a complete stranger doesn`t talk to you. Moron

First of all, there is no proof that this event actually happened. 2nd, if it did, who knows what was going on in his life prior to him going shopping. For all you know, his best friend died 1 hour earlier. You don`t know the entire situation and this is only 1 side of it. Get over it, he didn`t "acknowledge" you. Big deal. Most celebs I`ve dealt with are VERY cool but they are people too. Heck, I remember when I was 12, The Hoff was shooting an episode of Knight Rider in Vegas and I was there to watch it. He had to pull up in the car, shoot a scene in front of Caesars Palace (in his jeans and leather jacket in the 110 degree heat) then walk inside. The entire take was only 30 seconds long but when they cut, he was gasping for air he was so hot in that stupid jacket. Still though, I got the courage to walk up to him and ask for an autograph and he was totally cool about it. Most celebs are like this, probably even Ed. Who knows how true this really is. Remember, it`s a post o

It seems to me that if he wanted to rant, he should have done so in front of Edward Norton. People are such pussies nowadays.

In the past, one might have challenged Edward Norton to a duel. Now, one goes home and posts internet articles.

i was 10 and my dad somehow managed to get me backstage at a bill cosby show (he was beyond famous at the time) with my pad and pen in hand i ran up to him and said: "Mr Cos.." and he held his hand out palm facing me like a security guard looked at me real angry and said "i ain`t got time, get this dratin kid away from me". I was shattered. I`ve never seen a celebrity since and if i did i wouldn`t speak for fear it would destroy their image to me.
ps: i`ve never had a pudding pop

Where the hell does this ass get off thinking that a celebrity is entitled to talk to him just because he has seen his movies? If I buy a cheeseburger from McDonald`s does Ronald McDonald have to join me to eat it? Just because someone is a celebrity does not mean that they are outgoing people who would just love to talk to every rabid fan who feels they are owed a gracious response because they saw a flick. Suck it slow dude. Suck it slow.

If you don`t want people talking to you because you`re famous, you should either;
A) Not become famous or B) build a time machine and go back in time and prevent yourself from becoming famous/abort yourself.

Either use those or deal with all of your damn money & random strangers talking to you.

As much as I LOVE Edward Norton as an actor, he actually is a very rude person. I live close to him and I have (along with some of my family/friends see him at local coffee shop and other places. Every time someone says something-and i would say 99% of the time it is totally respectful...even just saying "I really enjoy you work" he either returns with a horrible comment or gives you a horrible look. For this, I have never approached him! But seriously, I know people come up to you all the time...but it IS part of his job...and is it that hard to smile and say thank you!?!?! Hell, everyone else says please, thank you, and smiles to total strangers for their kindness......

its just kinda sad, cause like I said, I really enjoy him as an actor =(

so what, famous people now cannot be in a bad mood? i bet this guy has never been rude to anyone....
besides, he`s a walking dick fear poster: "I`m on TV too? I`m not a goddamn rube?" with that attitude, he should be lucky to not get a black eye!

sorry, but the celebrity worship in this country brings out the disgusting side of people, especially this guy, who thinks he is somehow better than others even when he`s NOT on TV because he is on TV...

oh well, Ed Norton is probably a big jerk anyway...
PLP

"Hey, not everybody enjoys being famous and getting recognized"

Sorry, but in that case they really should get out of the public eye. Go do a `normal` job or something if they don`t like being famous. No one is forcing them to stay except themselves and their need of making millions of dollars on crappy movies.

Not talking of Norton (b.c he`s hot lol) only.
