Anyway. Is this ACTUALLY what happens? I mean. It`s cool and all, but wow. o_o;
you need a license to handle mercury.
"and how all that comes out of a rock is...?and wtf is mars gonna do if a fire breaks out..."
the stuff that comes out of the rock isnt as solid as the rock.
it`s less denselike ash
havent you ever lit a snake before?
you have to have a license to handle mercury
Reminds me of those worm things in slither D:
Near the end there it just looks like tree bark.
A little too much fiber, eh?
Drop a 10 pound block in the middle of a town square and shoot a flare at it.
That would be AWESOME.
It just makes some weird kind of foam.
Thanks for the explanation there, Bill Nye. The name`s wrong, it`s mercury thiocyanate, and poisonous mercury vapours are released in fairly copious amounts when it burns...
Totally cool vid, apart from the even-more-creepy-then-the-rock kids.
in an obscene kinda way
Looked like poop wen it first started hehe
The only thing I can figure is that because Mercury Thiocyanide is in a puddy or foamy / sandy form (never seen the stuff myself.) is that upon lighting it, the resulting energy from the heat would trigger a chemical reaction where by the Mercury Thiocyanide begins to change state and form to where the resulting product of the reaction is producing a harder and more massive material. The only way for the reaction to occur hand in hand with physics (not dividing by 0 tricks!) is the resulting expansion or explosion of material seemingly coming from nowhere. Atoms and molecules can only get so close just as you can only fit so many people in a room before they need to find more room.Make sense? lol
