What`s wrong with hating Communists? It has nothing to do with being a "redneck".

you know what I want to know? Why is religion so important in these elections? Honestly, this is suposed to be a democracy not a theocracy but the way the candidates run you would never know it.

I wish we could have an election where no one said what religion they were. I don`t care if you go to church on Sunday. I don`t care you don`t eat meat in friday. I don`t care you read the Bible from cover to cover. I don`t care that you can name all the chapters of bible by heart. I don`t care if you enrolled your children in Sunday School or CCD.

I want to know your views on the economy, health care, education, welfare, the environment. I want to know how you intend to fix this country. I want to know what YOU can do for ME thatdoesn`t involve the Bible.

WILL SUCH AN ELECTION EVER EXIST?

couple of things:
1 - All those saying that should we expect less from al jazeera let me point out... this is video evidence of ignorance. This is not a written anecdote by a biased journal. These people spoke the words themselves. Its not overdubbed, its not fake, these are real people`s reactions. Al jazeera or not, those are american citizens speaking english in front of a camera, unscripted.
2 - to the people who constantly shout RON PAUL, or NADER all the time. Your every bit as ignorant as the fools in this video. How powerful you think a third party president would be without 1 single party member supporter? Lame duck? try dead duck president. Nothing an independant pres would do would get support from the house OR the senate. You dont build a house from the roof down folks, maybe you should go back to school and learn how the government is actually ran.

Well both Obama and McCain scare me. I know that all Govt tell us what what we want to hear, then they do a complete 180 of what they said to get into office.

This is probably one of the most frightening and important elections that the USA has or will ever see. ;-()

its pretty much settled in everyones minds that obama is going to win, i guess its because he supports change and hope and all that good stuff, which i still haven`t figured out what that means exactly in regards to what he is actually going to do when in office....
not really looking forward to the next few years of our country under obama...

Stupid, stupid, stupid....I`m not an Obama fan, but those people are just idiots. They are voting for McCain not not Obama just because he is black. It`s just as stupid as blacks voting for Obama just because he is bad. I do believe that you should vote for the person that has a plan together to help the USA stay the #1 super-power in the world. S*** we all know that they are both lying anyway. :-?

When people try to pick fights with me over abortion I tell them "just for that I`m going to get an abortion".
Seems to effectively p.ss them off.

Also, I`m going to a walk for Obama on Sunday. 1000 people are expected to show up. yay.

And I`ve already filled out my absentee ballot. I`m excited for when Obama is finally announced the winner of the election in November.

Most of them have no idea how blacks even ended up being slaves in the first place. And this isn`t a christian nation...not everyone is Christian deal with it.

And that guy is so doing something I have always wanted to do.

Forgive me for basically hurling a pile of lit matches to the gasoline pit that is the Internet but the CATHOLIC Vote?!

Aren`t we supposed to have church and state SEPARATE? Now I`m not 100% on this next one but I thought you weren`t supposed to bring up politics in places of worship, like the pastor influencing his congregation or something? Am I right in assuming that it cuts them off from tax exempt status and all that? Or are they fined as well?

People shouldn`t be voting for appearances PERIOD!

People should be doing research! Looking at qualifications! Acting like they are HIRING a person for an important position! That`s like a manager hiring a guy who is a convicted felon of homicide and rape to work in a Curves JUST BECAUSE he dresses well and is articulate!

Why are we watching Al Jazeera? I mean, not trying to be "Islamophobic" or anything, but they don`t strike me as the most reliable source.

As for the people, there are crazies in every group. These people are against Obama for racist, xenophobic reasons, which is ridiculous when there are so many good reasons to be against Obama. That`s not to say that I`m voting for McCain, if I could vote, I would vote for Bob Barr. Both of them scare me, McCain because of the possibility of Palin taking over, and Obama simply because his economic policies are ridiculous. You can`t raise the minimum wage and create jobs at the same time, people. It`s Economics 101.

Ok so according to this video.... Obama is a duck.

Come on. I thought that we were over racism in this day and age. Its the the diversity in this country that makes it so great...

And even if Obama is or is not Muslim... Does that mean that you are biased against those people? Muslim does not equal terrorist. Its a religion, not a terrorist organization.

You have no idea how far this country is from being over racism

A few things...

The N word is for black people ONLY- I`m hiding behind the internet and I still think that the N word is for black people...

Religion isn`t really a good base for picking your leaders- there are a whole lot a people from every religion that are horrible, horrible people- but there are also good people from every religion too. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are all pretty damn similar to one another...

On the positive side, however...

I live in the suburbs (take this time to make fun of me) and most of those people fit my definition of redneck. I`m happy to see that stereotypes aren`t all completely true.

Don`t yell at me, I`m not taking sides or anything like that- But I agree that the people displayed in the video are ignorant to a pretty extreme degree...

Here`s to an interesting October...

"Ever notice how democrats always try to ruin republican rallies and never the other way around?"

No Chris, I haven`t noticed that. Both parties do it. Three weeks ago, I went to an Obama rally at Mary Washington College in Virginia. All along a major road right before the college was about 50 people holding up 25 giant John McCain signs. They were lined up on both sides of the road. And what I noticed was that nobody was shouting at them or saying anything to them. That`s something you don`t see when democrats are at a republican speech.

I don`t think this makes people closed minded or ignorant. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion based on any fact they choose. It is a fact that he`s black and that his platform is riddled with socialist tendencies. It is also a fact that he has associated with radical left wing terrorist since the beginning of his political career. So really, these people aren`t that far off base

Obama had no contact with his muslim father growing up. He was raised by his WHITE, CHRISTIAN, mother and grandparents. He was in a muslim elementary school. Not highschool, not college.

Oh did you know that Aipac(look it up, tour probably so ignorant you havent heard of it) supports him: http://www.observer.com/2008/emanuel-end...

You know I went to a preschool at a church, and guess what, im not religous. SHOCKING.

Using CrakrJak`s logic:
Anyone who has a Hispanic father must speak spanish
All US soldiers who are in the Middle East must be Muslim.

Then where does his conversion happen ? In Rev. Wright`s church of "God damn america".

There are crazy people on both sides! If I had an agenda I`m sure I could find plenty of people at Barack Obama rallies that believe that Bush orchestrated 9/11 and our (US) military rapes, murders, and air raids villages.

Yes I registered just to post that. The only people making fools out of themselves are the people who think that Al Jazeera is an objective news agency. Al Jazeera wholeheartedly endorses Obama and they will paint the Right using extreme whackos to achieve their goal.

The media is in a state of peril, they do not know what is true and what isn`t, the last thing they need to do is to flip the script. From what i have seen on different media affiliates channels, websites, and blogs is an over all defense for obama, and much support, this is not information obtained from one privatly funded website, b/c the campaign is privatly funded, this was obtained thru HOURS of Google, and the same results indicate a steady trend. try it for yourself. Consider the name of the website LIBERALLY-CONSERVATIVE, suggesting that they are playing both sides of the field.

Oh, and that kinda bothers me that that guy said said that Obama "can`t lead a Christian nation because he`s not Christian". Sure, maybe the majority of our population is Christian, but the other religions certainly do exist and are important too. And why do people think that there can`t be a peaceful, moral leader who is not Christian? And Obama IS Christian, so they just don`t know what they are talking about. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22767392/
