its cool looking for tiny islands that have like one person born every 11 days

Weird to think that one of those flashy black dots (the death) could be you soon.

...although the rate does tend to go up 9 months after I holiday in any city for some reason...

Geez I knew quarter of the kids born in the world came from China, but I didn`t realise that all of them were bring born in the same tiny village in China...

They could have at least had it show the birth and death bursts in a random place within each country! lol

Well considering CO2 only makes up about 0.4% of the atmosphere I could care less about it.

Jesus Australias doing well for itself. 1 Death every 3.4 minutes compared to 12.8 seconds, thats you america, and 27.3 seconds, Japan. I guess avoiding alien invasions and attacks from Godzilla really pays off.

as for the china thing... they actually have "death rooms" in adoption houses for babys that are sick, or mainly girls. Most gut wrenching thing I`ve seen in my entire life.

on the plus side. only 7 people died in my country while 13 were born while I watched that :D

real time!?!?!? omg not

unless they have instant feed to every single hospital in the world and its hella fast too

And also, someone does`t actually die every 1.3 seconds (or whatever time it says for each country). They just take the number of deaths in a year and divide it by hours and create that number using math. So 50 people could die in one day, then none for 3 months, etc. It`s just statistics, not reality (as far as time goes).

Except it`s NOT real time. If you read the `about` section, it`s just a loop playing of data he got from Wikipedia from 2002 and 2005. Cool presentation, though.

"Yup. You`re only allowed to have one child or face fines if I remember correctly"

except if you are a farmer and have a girl first, in that case you are allowed to try again (if you dont abort.)

why doesn`t the population rise when someone is born, or decrease when someone dies?

Add migration and this is the ultimate demographic tool.

So China has a negative population growth right now?

Wow.

I guess that one child act is working. o_O

-------

Yup. You`re only allowed to have one child or face fines if I remember correctly.. and the fines are huge. Chinese generally want boys as well so Abortions and foreign adoptions for girls is higher than any other country. Besides, with a population as massive as China, it has to collapse eventually.

Interesting thing though.. but an odd combination of "Death meets CO2" it`s almost like they`re trying to give away the idea "CO2 KILLS!"
DAMN HIPPIES YOU LIE!

In India a person dies every 1.3 seconds, thats pretty depressing.

"Kiribati: 1000 tonnes of CO2 emitted every 11.8 days"
"USA: 100 tonnes of CO2 emitted every 5.4 seconds"

I would have thought that China would have been higher, but they take 9.2 seconds to emit that much. Weird.

And looking at India`s statistics really gives you an idea about why it`s so over-populated.

Also interesting how only one person dies in Vatican City every two months. Probably because there`s only 500 people there, or the pope has something to do with it (j/k).

the countrys they didnt know about the co2 emissions they just put 11.6 days. i thought "how can a country with 800 people(vatican city) and a country with 28000 people(san morino) still emitted 1000 tonnes every 11.6 days?" thats fake. i saw four countrys with 11.6 days ? ya but it is cool. just noticed that. who noticed america was flashing red. and china and india had a flashing yellow thing?

I hate those counters that give you an exact number of people in the world. Like there aren`t thousands of unaccounted for people in every country.
