Submitted by: fancylad 8 years ago in Funny

Mom and Dad did the best they could and cut corners to save a little scratch, but at what cost to their children?

Sure they`re not perfect but you have to admit its not easy to create visual art (especially recreations of something as well known and easily recognized as Star Wars)in food. I say score 1 for parents with active imaginations.

Maybe it was meant that the kids would be obsessed with Star Wars after having a Star Wars cake.

I agree with everyone else. what`s wrong with these? okay, the salad was kinda creepy, but the cakes looked pretty good, and everything looked just fine to me. i dont see why these would ruin a kid`s birthday at all. kudos to the parents - i give them an A for effort. most parents would just run to Publix and BUY one premade.

Who would submit that?
At least the parents cared for their children and tried their best! What`s wrong with that? Oo

And the cakes really aren`t so bad - I agree with Saturnia107: it IS hard to do and everyone did recognise what they should portrait, didn`t you?
I think those are great!

I like these. They look better than any other cakes i`ve seen so far based on Star Wars. I don`t get why the neg reviews. Is it because I dint watch as much as they did?

They`re not that bad! Better than what I could do. Have you ever tried making a cake like that? It`s so hard. Those stupid cake shows on TV make it look so easy....

this actually pisses me off. Those cakes are actually really nice and the parents probably put in a lot of effort to make those for those kids. Plus i doubt the kids care. Whoever made this is a total ass

Hey those cakes are better than anything I could pull off. While kinda cool, the Han solo in carbonite cake scares ma. What flavor is silver icing? Seriously it looked toxic.

Keep posting all the SW crap you want fancylad, it all rocks.

I was actually impressed with most of those, and kids definitely would be too, unless they became sarcastic internet nerds at a very early age.

Hey, I`d be over the moon if my parents or friends put that much effort into my birthday. Who the hell cares what they look like. Besides these are all pretty awesome for being amatuerly done.

The author has a perfection demanding complex.

Hey parents may not have super sculpting abilities but that was fairly decent. Give `em that at least.

I wouldn`t care if it looked like crap, that fact that someone put that much effort into something for me would make it awesome... kind of like a sweater knitted from belly button lint. It`s gross and kind of itchy but you know it was knitted with love!

I liked a vast majority of these creations.
And if someone made these for me, I`d be ecstatic, I`m not picky, it`s the effort that counts.

I think those are all pretty cool. Imagine the work involved in making those. The parents must really love their children if they are going to slave over a birthday cake lovingly instead of running off to the store to buy one.

The Han Solo food is pretty sweet. I`d nom nom on it.

I dunno about most people, but I liked some of those, and if my parents made the effort, I wouldn`t be a brat and hate it just because it`s not perfect. My mum made our cakes all the time, and I think she`s actually really good at them.

the jar jar binks one is creepy

I always thought pastries and cakes WERE foods. Huh.

And I`m not sure how they ruined kids` lives. Maybe because I`m not a Star Wars fan? :/
