Submitted by: Chiefy 9 years ago in

I think this is the first Tim Buston"s stop motion. It was made on 1982. Enjoy it.

So cute! okay not really... kinda creepy,

I always think about how hard it is to make something like this, let alone a movie...

Love his work though. And LAWL, the guy narrating is named Vincent Price! xDD

"Two geniuses there, Burton and Price. I got to meet Vincent Price years ago, he was born in my home city and was here a lot. He was so incredibly talented. I wish he and Tim Burton had been able to work together as much as Burton and Depp. Oh man, the three of them together would have been perfection."

Weren`t Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Vincent Price all involved in Edward Scissorhands?

I`ve seen this before, I think it was on the Nightmare Before Christmas dvd we have.
It also had Frankenweenie, about a kid who brought his pet dog back to life after it got hit by a car. It`s not stop animation though, it`s real people acting. It`s kinda cute.

Agreed. Amazing. :D This has all his signiature quirkiness, and cos it`s so old i bet there`re even die-hard fans (not the Die Hard film..) who`ve still not seen it and will be amazed.

Very amusing, and you can see where a lot of newer ideas were born just from this single short. :)

The cat for example, and the weird toy.

Hahaha, it is SO Tim Burton.

Does it amaze anyone else how similar stop motion technology is from then till now?

oh, and the beginning of the song that plays at the credits sounds like the timeless classic "there`s a place in france"
